why do you argue with these guys regarding the legacy of bernard hopkins?

anyone who even attempts to discredit b-hop is someone who is not playing with a full deck.

its like telling a five-year-old that 1+1=2 and arguing with him when he disagrees.

Primadonna Kool, I didn't offend you personally so I question your integrity now for tryin to manipulate me and what I said. How the Hell can you know that Bernard can't beat Chad??? I only know that you don't believe Bernard can beat Chad... You see confusion and lack of confidence in my post, buddy? I am not a 20 year older, I am not going to say what bernard is going to do to Chad, that he's going to whoop his ass back to Conn. and out of the picture of the LHWT scene. I do accept and it is logical that anyone makes out that emotionally I want Hopkins to win but how do you dare to say out loud what deep down I'm thinking about and concerning this fight??? First you put it on Bernard and now you putting it on me, I gat to congratulate you buddy for that art that you master which is psychological manipulation and reversal on the intentions CLEARLY expressed by your fellow members.

I said this has gone too far concerning the most guaranteed declarations or suppositions you and some other mebers were making about what has to do with either fighter but particularly with Bernard. Now, I fire back at you, if Bernard came down to the pressers to express that Chad should have been disqualified for hooking his leg while he lifted him up and slammed him down, you would say it's that old bernard intimidation process. If Bernard would breathe on Chad's face and blasted him with that Philly gangsta way, you would say that there he goes again acting like a fool. So now that he's quiet and avoids staredowns to straight everything down in the ring like the two men Chad said they were supposed to be, you still ain't satisfied.

At least you acknowledge he doesn't have a single reason to be afraid of Chad but naturally in fights like these, there is a lot at stake, to start with first the WBC title and the top slot at LHWT, then there is the issue about Hopkins' legacy and Dawson's upcoming future, finally a lot has been said and there are personal issues to straighten up such as someone calling another injured fighter a ***** and an actor and so on, so on. Naturally, one gat to be worried and that should be a cumpliment to Dawson who Nazim described as a very good fighter who has a future in front of him. Now, not admitting that Dawson is not worried, well, you can tell it to somebody else, he's actually nervous and may go out of control again... Then don't say that Bernard is a master of stunts and acts.

I have looked and rewatched it time and time again, but thank you anyway. Peace and be calm, 19 days to go. I will be here, not planning on moving out to anywhere else. Sometime, somewhere, someone gat to eat that pie, may be me, may be you, tic tac.

I personnaly despise Dawson (a boring and mentally weak human being who can't get 1K fans to go see his fights live), but he is talented and I believe he will win a close decision against the aging Bernard.

    Anyways, I'm rooting for B-Hop.

Bernard Hopkins has been old for 12 years now. You need to find a new reason why he will lose.

I agree with what you are saying..? The reason why Bernard Hopkins was play acting against Roy Jones..? was because everybody even himself thought he should of knocked out or stopped a shot Roy Jones..? Bernard Hopkins even stated this himself before the fight.

But he WAS winning the fight, but each round some competitive, and Bernard Hopkins was struggling. "So he created this pathetic story, that he blacked out half way through the fight and could not remember from the mid rounds onwards..? due to Roy Jones rabbit punching..? due to Roy Jones power shots to the back of the head.

I am sick of it, allot of other boxing fans are sick of it. He is a good fighter, a crafty fighter, but his skills are completely overrated. When Bernard Hopkins fouls in opponents time after time..? its deemed as being old school and crafty..? because that's how sad boxing is these days. But if any other of his opponents decide to get dirty back..? Hopkins crys, calls the foul.

He's not gangster, he's not this big bad jail house fighter he makes out himself to be.

Because he cannot cope, when anybody gives him a taste of his own medicine. Its gotten allot worse as he's gotten older, people are just amazed he is inside a ring..? so he kind of gets away with allot of his antics.

"People give him a free pass, and like i said before deemed it as old school"

The rough house tactics Hopkins use are GREAT..? let me make it clear, i have not got a problem. I used to love how Mike Tyson, throw a left hook and then on the inside turned it into a elbow, and loved how Holyfield used his head as his third line of defence.

This is a ****ing fight, this is the professional fight game and all these rough house street tactics happen. But the difference is, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield accepted this, and didn't act like soccer players. They could give it, and they could take it.

Hopkins is just like a soccer player, diving every single time he is tackled. YOU PEOPLE KNOW I AM RIGHT, we have been sitting here year after year watching it.

Look at this fight..? Its Rough but there getting on with it. Hopkins would probably ruined this fight, and started crying. But i will just add..? with old age, Hopkins has gotten worse..? in his younger days he was not so reliant on his play acting.

My confidants is stronger than your doubt in Chad Dawson, my confidants is stronger than your confidants in Bernard Hopkins. This is clear to me, i have stated on nurermous occasions what i think Chad Dawson will do to Bernard Hopkins.

"And i am not really a fan of Chad Dawson, you are clearly a long time fan of Bernard Hopkins, so therefore there are two sides of human mind. One controls logic and reasoning's..? and the other controls instinct and self serving emotion.

You want Bernard Hopkins to win, so your logic is completely clouded. Your self serving emotion is taking over. But i can tell you are a smart person, because you have NOT come out and forcedly stated that Bernard Hopkins is going to win and how. You have kept quite quiet on this subject, because logically Chad Dawson is the favourite in this fight.

Deep down, and at the end of the day. THATS what this thread is about.? Who YOU think is going to win.

"I think Chad Dawson will win, if Bernard Hopkins stands up and fights a honest fight..? He gets stopped on his feet, knocked out or he quits in his stool"

Actions speak louder than words, and because nobody here can hear me..? These are my actions, these are my convictions. You are confused and your not confidant in Bernard Hopkins, otherwise you would be allot more vocal and forceful with the Bernard Hopkins support and WHAT YOU THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

But you are smart..? or maybe just a shitbag. Because you don't want to set yourself up for defeat.

Like i have stated before this thread has nothing to do with careers or who is a all-time great. The only people talking about careers, the only people who brought this point up and tried to change the whole subject..? are Hopkins fans.

Thats what you call searching..? self motivation..? trying to convince yourself..? looking for inspiration.

    All i am saying is..?

Chad Dawson is going to stop Bernard Hopkins on his feet..? Knock him out..? or make him quit on his stool, or just give him a beat down for 12 rounds.

What are you saying..? Are you confident enough or brave enough to tell us..?

If not shut **** up, you **** bag.

Also i have got nothing against Bernard Hopkins trying to intimidate his opponents. He tried to do all that..."I'm a gangster" in the last build up to this fight. And guess what..? It didn't work.

So Bernard Hopkins this time is a smart enough man to try something esle..? searching.

I don't think much of this analysis.

At 4:35, the guy said that Dawson 'didn't go for the feint at all!'. I disagree -- Hopkins feinted with his right hand, and you can see Dawson drop his left hand to parry and completely expose his head. I'd personally call that reacting to a feint.

He keeps saying Hopkins is 'slow', but Hopkins doesn't rely on speed for his style. He relies on timing, technical skills, ring IQ and a few dirty tactics now and then. If Hopkins is so slow and predictable, why does a young guy like Dawson struggle to land a significant punch against him? Speed can be neutralised with timing, and when it comes to timing there are few people better than Hopkins.

To be honest, I don't think either guy looked like they had the edge over the other. Nothing much happened at all. I have no idea who wins the rematch, but Dawson showed me nothing special in that footage, and nothing that tells me he would certainly beat Hopkins.

I'm looking forward to Hopkins revolutionizing the sport by finding a new way to quit in this bout.
