I've been waiting for this fight for years, I was on a bus to Minneapolis with this dude from Dearborn who boxed & met Mayweather many times over the years, learned some things from him, he told me at the time that Cotto was the only one who would trouble Mayweather, Cotto was my favorite fighter at the time so I had to agree. That was in 2008. I don't care how many year have past, I still think this is much more even fight then most of ESB would have you believe.

Naziim Richardson was probably the best trainer opposite of Floyd and Floyd managed to survive Naz's game plan and still dominate his fighter.

I don't know how relevant it is that he picked Dawson to beat Hopkins, as that was pretty much the consensus.

Definitely agree. . . Cotto is a skilled boxer/puncher, but he doesn't have the ring IQ as Marquez, nor do I think he's nearly as intelligent as Marquez, with hte ability to "read and react" on the fly. . . Although only a handful of boxers really have this ability.

I admit, I did think Marquez was going to give FLoyd some problems, especially with hte long layoff... Didn't think he would win, but I didn't think Floyd would shut him out either. . I thought he would be able to use some feints, and "counter FLoyd's counters". . . But Floyd was just too quick, and Marquez did seem to get frustrated, and just try to follow Floyd - very uncharacteristic of him.
