    I suppose Iran Barkley simply had Tommy Hearn’s number. Of course I realize that Tommy wasn’t prime for either of their fights but the further back you go in his career he wasn’t fighting in Barkley’s weight class either.

    I once asked Ray Lampkin how he lost to Angel Mayoral at his peak. I said to him he was a good fighter but not in your league. He said, "No excuses, I just had the hardest time with his southpaw style and lost the decision." I loved the honesty.
