To an extent, me as well. Benitez v. Leonard, for example, mesmerized me.

p.s. I firmly believe no one beats Whitaker h2h from 135-140 ever, although some will be surprised by how competitive this matchup would be.

I gotta disagree with you on that one. Leonard is a brilliant fighter.

Whitaker was a smarter fighter, had a better jab, and was more elusive in my opinion.

Leonard beat a fighter in Benitez that was very smart and in Whitaker's class defensively (a class of about 3-4 people all time)

In a head to head match up. Between Mayweather and Whitaker I like Whitaker. However it is closer than some of you might think. Both are masters of defense. Whitaker is better at sliping and dodging punches. While Mayweather can slip and dodge he is more of a keep his distance and blocking punches. More of Whitakers punches are going to land on Mayweather thanMayweather's will land on Whitaker. Even if most of Whitaker's landing punches are not scoring blows a lot will catch Mayweather on his shoulder. They will still have an impact. Whitaker is the faster of the two. However mayweather is the stronger of the two.
Mayweather will probbly try to set a slow pace look to draw Whitaker in and counter with left hooks and right croses. Whitaker will try to force a faster tempo force Mayweather to throw more punches than he would like to. Slip those punches and counter them. I think that Whitaker can beat Mayweather at Mayweather's pace more easily than Mayweather can beat Whitaker at Whitaker's pace. It comes down to speed. First off Mayweer on occasion gets hit he is usuly to counter the shot with a punch of his own, and will land a few counter shots on Whitaker. However Whitaker is fast enough to avoide more punches than he gets hit by.
I like Whitaker to win either way. I see this as a compitive bout and would not count Mayweather out. Either way I see this as a 7-5 or 8-4 fight.

I don't see Pernell being so much faster than FLoyd. Floyd's reflexes is not Roy Jones but close, and coupled with his mastery of the shoulder roll style, I can't see Pernell landing many more punches.

Pernell would have a good shot at a decision here, but if we're talking lightweight Floyd, then I'd give Mayweather the slight edge.
