Damn! These are the exact two I came in here to mention. I've only just started so I want to do everything to engrain good fundamentals into me.
I don't try to be someone I'm not but on a domestic level here in u.k I like to work rate and toughness of Lenny Daws and Colin Lynes proper warriors who train well and give 100 per cent at all times wether training or in bouts.
Heavyweight Winky Wright... we have a very similar stance. Or Alex Povetkin when he was in the amateurs.
I mostly fight like Barrera. I'm left handed and I jab a lot. I can smack you around with left hooks and left uppercuts; to the head and body. But my right isn't that great. I just use it like a club and hit people over the head with it. Hopefully that sets up a left.
And you are ? :yepatsch I dont try and imitate anybody, but im so Micky Ward like its unreal. The only difference is he's a lot stronger than I am but Im a lot faster
+1 I tried imitating someone once and damn near got sparked out. What works for one person almost certainly never works out for the next with the same results. Actually, now that I think about it, what works for one person almost always at some point in time doesn't work for them either. You have to do your own thing, and respond to different elements presented to you on the fly. You really don't have time to stop and think, ok... what would so and so do right now. You gotta be loose, and natural.
