I have seen francis take a 260+ pound kickboxer/MMA fighters shin to the head and walk through it like it was nothing. People really think USYK, in boxing gloves is going to be able to do anything at all to francis are out of there mind. Usyk would get flattened.
If Usyk doesn't have a 10 in stamina, who does? Actually, you know what...I'll allow it since Usyk doesn't throw many hard punches. Throwing hard punches takes more out of you than light punches. So maybe there was a heavyweight throwing hard punches with a similar work rate. Not today though. Today, Usyk is clearly the heavyweight with the best stamina.
In terms of pure punch count Usyk is unprecedented. He averages 600-700 in a fight distance. He pulls lots of these punches though. His energy expenditure is probably 20-30% less by not putting much on the punches. Doing the maths Fury can get about 400 punches out in the distance but he's putting more on them and he's working harder physically grappling his opponents. Everything factored in that punch output by Usyk is still very impressive and he is very composed with his punch selection and setup throughout. In a pure boxing match no matter how well Fury boxes long range Usyk would always make the fight close simply based on his punch output ability. Fury knows this. Fury will level the playing field by tiring Usyk out grappling. Chisora fight for the first 3 rounds is a good example, Chisora came out aggressive Usyk didn't throw much in response, he knew Chisora would slow so played patient...problem with Fury is he isn't going to slow, he'll set a pace and maintain it. It's gruelling. 275 pound of sweaty man tits all over you for 12 rounds. It's like fighting a man with a fridge on top of you who keeps turning the screwdriver. People really need to take note of the fact Usyk cannot and has not ever had to deal with a 270 pound man leaning on him. Joyce in 2013 when Usyk was in his prime, Joyce didn't lean on him, Usyk used hsi feet to move around him which he will do to Fury to great effect...early doors but by the 4th and 5th round, Fury will have probably clinched him 2 times maybe 3 per round and that's like doing 10 100kg squats per round. Usyk is going to gas. That's right a man who doesn't gas is going to gas. He is not a machine he's a man.
Yup a 270 pound pure muscle MMA fighter who could out grapple a gorilla or in Fury's case an organutan. I was shocked to be honest always felt smug watching Fury manhandle all these boxers like they were little kids then Francis goes and does it to Fury in total dominance. Impressive. Mid fight when Fury had his underhooks and Francis starts to squeeze him was the moment like god damn stop this violence against my man.
Yea tell me that when Wallin decisions AJ UD meanwhile Francis lost a close fight to Fury the man. The big dog.
Not really. Look at this: This content is protected AJ threw more punches than Usyk in all of the last *seven* rounds. Usyk's stamina is in the realm of the supernatural - but you are not correctly identifying its implications: a) The quality of the punches. Usyk is still sitting down into his punches in the championship rounds. He's not pushing stuff. b) He's making his opponent miss with whatever quality of punch he can muster. Some context from the Compubox stats concerning b) AJ landed 3 of 91 thrown jabs in the championship rounds and Usyk landed 23/36 power punches in the final round. I've seen other hw's throw more punches than Usyk (Exhibit A: This content is protected ). Usyk's big advantage is the ever-increasing gap in the quality of punches he throwing vs. his opponent as the fight goes on. That's how he drowns you.
Yeah , alone for this francis deserves the hall of fame . Funny enough fury on the pre fight press conference claimed he would beat francis also in an octagon ... post fight he did not claimed this anymore
that will still mean f*ckall, since that would be SOMEONE else who did it. HMU me when Ngannou actually beats a ranked HW kiddo.
Usyk would dominate Ngannou and take him to school. Francis is a warrior but he has shown 0 to indicate he could keep up with Usyk.
