Stylistic matchup: Malignaggi vs Hatton

Ngoudjo UD Malignaggi.

 

I can see Hatton running through him. He doesn't have the power to keep Hatton at bay.

Hatton is stronger, hits much harder, has faster footwork and may be better conditioned.

Malignaggi has a better chin, puts his punches together better and has a better jab.

Handspeed is about even though the use it and different ways.

Hatton would break Malignaggi down, he lacks the power to keep Ricky off of him and is not very hard to hit. For the first few rounds Paulie may be able to keep him off fighting on the backfoot, but he is not a mover and would be to infront of Hatton coupled with his lack of power I see big problems for Paulie.

at 140, I would fancy Hatton over anyone, although Witter is probably the most awkward style for him. In all honesty I could either see PM winning a boring UD, or Hatton going through him like a freight train with no brakes, although PM showed us all he has some ****ing balls!

 

hatton is just much too powerful and fast for paulie,hatton with a late ko!

 

Don't sleep on Paulie he's extremely underrated.

 

Now that I think about it, Paulie UD.

 

You bet he could find him.

He found Floyd no problem, even though he got countered to death and lost the inside battle.

Hatton will never have a problem hunting down any fighter at 140 and like I said Paulie doesn't have the power to keep Hatton at bay.

Hatton out works Malignaggi. The Body shots will slow him down. It'll be a good fight - until about the 5th or 6th round - then it's all down hill for Malignaggi. :!:

It would be interesting. Paulie would jab him to death but Ricky would put a lot of heat on him.

 

Paulie does lack the power but he would tag Hatton all night coming in. Hatton is quick and has great foot speed but not incredible foot work. Paulie is an excellent boxer and counter puncher he can lead and play roles in the ring. His toughness is not a question in my opinion he's just as hard nosed as Floyd and in some ways is much fresher than floyd, he's well conditioned and determined. Hatton tends to lunge and lacks the discipline of a jab. Physically Hatton seems to have the advantage on paper but Paulie does not lack toughness only punching power mostly because of his style. I think Paulie would give Hatton hell.
