i think paulie is the toughest matchup for khan. anyone else agree? ye urango and maidana have punchers chance but both got outboxed by fighters who arent overly skillfull.

khan wont have the advantage of blistering speed and movement in this fight, and ye he wont get knocked out but this is the biggest stylistical challenge he could have taken

I don't think any of the three can outbox Khan, but two of the three can hurt him badly. So, I think those two are bigger threats.

I think this is definitely Khan's biggest challenge. He has never been in with anyone like Malignaggi before, he will have to pick his shots more so in this bout, he can not just charge in and throw random flurries. If he does this, I can see Malignaggi picking him off all night.

Toughest match-up out there? Or between Malignaggi/Maidana/Urango? Not including Tim Bradley either? If just these fighters i think you are right.

There was always going to be people saying he ducked Maidana.. but in all honesty i think he wipes the floor with Maidana. Yeah Marcos can punch, but i watched him in the Ortiz/Kotelnik fights and didn't see anything Khan can't overcome. We haven't seen Khan's punch resistance tested too much at 140 to be fair, but if he gets in and out he has the beating of Maidana.

With Malignaggi Khan will have to work extremely hard to get a KO. I think his camp knows this so might take a different approach and try to rack up a points win.. with Malignaggi's power being a bit below standard this will be his tactic too.. Malignaggi is skilled and quick so with all this; it is a big test for Khan. I liked Malignaggi against Diaz.. and in the second match-up wobbled him a few times - so Khan needs to be a complete boxer on the night.. as to pick up points and make sure he doesn't get tagged. As this hasn't really been asked of him so far, except perhaps in the Kotelnik fight - will be his toughest and biggest match-up

The last opponent that threw over the top of Khan absolutely annihiliated him, and he's since been exposed as less than elite.

khan is facing a top 5 140 fighter in the world which ever way you look at it

this fight will be tougher than maidana or any other big puncher because mallanagi is just a better boxer than them.

of course bradley is the guy which roach wants no part of now but that fight will be made and it will be a super fighter to unify the titles when it happens

Khan's boxing is worlds better than any of them and he has a tremendous size advantage over anyone at LW or LWW. Your best shot is to knock him out.

Paulie can't knock him out and he can't outbox him either. He's slower than Khan and is very hittable for a supposed slickster.

Maidana would have the best chance because of his straight right hand. Urango's punches are way too wide for Khan's new defense, but he would make it interesting if he went to the body. Malignaggi has pretty much no shot, IMO.

just them 3, im convinced he would stop maidana since maidana has zero defence. he could round from urango all night just as berto did. against paulie he will have to think about his fight plan.

bradley and hatton could pressure him for 12 full rounds (if haton aint shot) and i dont think khan has the stamina for that kinda fight

Well I dont think Kahn can knock out Paulie or certainly atleast not early so he will have to work hard for it if he wants his win. Though paulie probably wont stop him either but I think it could be a good fight.

It's a tougher fight from a stylistic point of view, Khan can afford to take more chances in this one knowing Paulie's lack of punching power which he wouldn't be able to do against Maidana or Urango which should make it a better fight to watch.

I do not think Malignaggi is a justified top five 140-pounder. Bradley, Khan, Alexander, Urango, ...Malignaggi? Why? Good fighter, I'm not saying he's not. But, since losing his title, these other guys have really come up and he's had, a dominant TKO loss to Ricky Hatton, and gone 1-1 with a porky former lightweight champion who was coming off a knockout loss at lightweight.

    I agree.

I think this fight is going to be better than alot of people are thinking. Closer too.

Got a bet on that it makes a round of the year or fight of the year shortlist with a mate. Got a feeling.

I see Khan going into this fight with a different game plan than he is normally accustomed. Paulie isn't going to change his style. Khan's only shot at beating paulie is if he can win the first 4 rounds. If Paulie starts off winning on points, khan is going to have to switch back over to his "Power game" which will see Paulie catching him EVEN MORE and jabbing and then being no where for him to be hit. This is a ROUGH fight for Khan. he has never fought anyone as fast on his feet as Malignaggi.

I think Malignaggi frustrates Khan into a decision 9rounds to 3. you don't want to use Malignaggi- a fighter who has no problem winning with a UD - to "try something new". And a fighter who just dives in is going to fail against him- i think.
