Paro had a good game plan and Matias gave him a few early too.

Nothing I saw suggested he could KO him and if he tried it would definitely backfire imo.

Rematch will go the other way if it happens. Matias looked like he thought it was going to be too easy. Sure Paro deserved to win but if he got robbed it wouldn’t have surprised anyone and it certainly wouldn’t have been the worst robbery. Most in this thread seemed to think robbery was incoming.

Paro didn’t dominate the fight he just did enough and that’s great but this certainly doesn’t mean he is the next big thing.

    No power and nothing special.

This fight was a Munguia vs Hogan, except the right man won

It´s been a though couple of months for him, for sure. If Ennies looses, then Hearn will go off the rails.
His US project has been a complete failure. All of the talent he signed has gone to **** or immediately taken a loss.

    I'm watching the highlights.

I'm sorry, but Matias SUCKS. I can't believe people thought he could beat Haney.

I know what on earth were they watching, lol.

But I get it, big puncher, exciting style, people get caught up in the hype and lose subjectivity, but damn when I saw multiple people claiming he'd beat Hatton, I thought this forum had reached a new low. It would be like me picking Billam Smith over Opetaia and Haye based on him beating Riakporhe.

    Round 1 Paro 10-9

Liam with almost not stop movement, whipping in lefts to the body of Matias, consistently pumping out the jab, smacking him with right hooks, occasionally sitting down on his straight lefts, never givin Matias a chance to set his feet and get his punches off. Pabon already a bit too intrusive, but in his defense, Paro is stiff arming and pushing Matias relentlessly, and both of those things are illegal tactics.

    Round 1 Paro 10-9
    Round 2 Paro 10-9

Alright, Paro is constantly leading with his head, lands a one two, then tying him up, then pushing him back and stiff arming him, rinse and repeat, then later on, while holding, intentionally hitting matis with rabbit punches he has to go out of his way to land, yeah... Pabon is completely justified with the repeated warnings. He's being B-Hop level dirty as ****. Matias landed the best shots that round, with some stiff jabs and heavy rights he's looping around the guard, but got outworked by a mile.

Haney doesn’t stand a chance against Matias. His jab arm will tire as Matias will consistently try to walk through it with his guard (for anyone that has boxed they will understand this), he does not move enough, he tires nearly every fight, nvm against Matias, low output. Literally all he’ll end up doing by the 5th round is clinching non-stop, and he is much slower than Paro.

People here doesn’t understand what makes Matias’ style so effective. He is the epitome of a pressure fighter. Most pressure fighter’s today have moments of posing and gauging etc. Matias just marches forward, you can’t move away from him.
