    Round 1 Paro 10-9
    Round 2 Paro 10-9
    Round 3 Paro 10-9

Paro with no stop lateral movement, never allowing Matias to set his feet, throwing punches in bunches, jabbing him up top, flurries on the high guard, to open it up, landing lefts up top and then stabbing him to the body with straight lefts. While leading with his head and pushing still, not as egregiously, so Pabon didn't complain very much. Matias is getting frustrated, but also letting his hands go a lot more, landing anywhere he can. Moving and punching with Paro a lot more, as opposed to waiting for the perfect opening. But clearly Matias respects his power, which is making him a little more apprehensive than usual.

Pabon is actually who probably saved Paro. He was giving him just enough rest every time he very slowly broke them up.

    Round 1 Paro 10-9
    Round 2 Paro 10-9
    Round 3 Paro 10-9
    Round 4 Paro 10-9

Paro being a lot more negative, throwing a flurry and immediately lunging in with his head and then holding to an excessive degree. He lands a rabbit punch, Matias immediately retaliates with one of his own. The pace Matias is setting with his non stop pressure is starting to get to Paro now, with him holding more than punching, but with his faster hands, he still managed to get the better of most of the exchanges when they traded.

    Round 2 Paro 10-9
    Round 3 Paro 10-9
    Round 4 Paro 10-9
    Round 5 Paro 10-9

Paroback to stiff arming and shoving like a madman early in the round, Pabon ignoring it when he shouldn't. Matias' pressure is relentless and would have gotten to most fighters by now, but Paro's energy levels and lateral movement is next level, he's literally flitting around the ring like a goddamn hummingbird, getting off a flurry and zips out of the side door.

    Round 2 Paro 10-9
    Round 3 Paro 10-9
    Round 4 Paro 10-9
    Round 5 Paro 10-9
    Round 6 Paro 10-9

Liam looking a little gassed, but is still moving at a frenetic pace, matias' pressure is never ceasing. But Paro is still beating him to the punch, landing a volley of one twos every time he gets in range. Then holding. His uppercut/straight left that Matias is constantly leaning into, is particularly effective. Paro's definitely getting taxed this round, with Matias work to the body, still he outhustled him.

    Round 7 Paro 9-9

Paro holding a lot more early, then lands a clear as day rabbit punch right before Pabon's eyes, which he rightfully gets docked a point for. The rest of the round he either ties up and holds, or is dancing around the ring landin shoeshine flurries up top, with a few well placed clean straight lefts adn uppercuts late.

Paro being excessively negative this round, holding more than he's punching, and gets in another rabbit punch, which he rightfully gets warned for, Matias is still bringing teh pressure, Paro still moving, but at least Matias is getting in more clean shots to the body, and a few clean shots up top to win it, but just barely.

Matias looked knackered after 4 rounds, which is strange cause he didn’t do anything in those rounds and his conditioning is typically excellent.

    Round 9 Matias 10-9

First clear Matias round, Paro looking gassed as all hell, holding on like a barnacle, only letting his hands go occasionally, and mostly keep away flurries. Matias while in hold is working the body pretty persistently, and pinned him on teh ropes for a few sustained flurries, where he really got his combos off.

Paro was holding and pushing Matias off a lot but I think it was being overlooked because the ref was clearly on his case from the get-go, Matias looked significantly if not a lot bigger than him, he was in Matias' backyard with everything stacked against him, and he was actually getting off with plenty of his own shots in close too. I think the point deduction was fair but it should've been for the holding.

That being said, Paro was a clear winner and he had the right style, possesses the skills, attributes and intangibles, the right game plan which he executed to damn near perfection, and it all came together on the night to surprise Matias and spring the upset. He's a really good fighter and despite the loss so too is Matias.

I feel bad for Matias losing in front of his home fans like that in his big homecoming fight but he'll be back

    Cool your boots, man

Taylor lost to Catterall and Teofimo

Teofimo lost to Kambosos and should have losses to Martin and Ortiz

Haney lost to a Ryan who trained on beer and had miniscule traces of ostrich in his system which couldn't have had any performing enhancing effects at the time it got into his system

He also should have a loss to a 20lb lighter six inch shorter reach past prime old leprechaun Loma

Like I keep saying not all fighters can be complete like Loma, Usyk, Floyd etc. most fighters struggle against certain styles and it doesn't make them bad fighters.

Haney struggles against fighters his own size or closer to it and anyone who can punch and touch his chin for goodness sake

    Round 8 Matias 10-9, close
    Round 9 Matias 10-9
    Round 10 Paro 10-9

Paro comes out looking rejuvenated, pumping out the jab, constant movement, and really sitting down on the straight lefts. Matias' pressure hasn't ebbed. Paro gasses out about midway, and he starts holding, but Matias can't capitalize, every time he attempts a flurry, aro blasts him with a clean left to the noggin.

Paro in control now, with Matias finally feeling the pace to the point where it's affecting his performance, he's holding as more than Paro, and walking into clean lefts, a few of which may have stunned him. Matias' balance is looking shaky.

Both men look beyond knackered at this point, they're holding more than fighting, but when they do, Matias gets off weak flurries, while Paro is still placing the far cleaner one twos right down the middle. Actually, for as tired as they both are, the volume from both of them was quite high.

Anyone who came away from this match thinking, wow... what a bum Matias is! You guys really do need to find another sport to follow, because you don't know **** about this one. Pretty much any other man would've lost to even this version of Matias last night, and this was far from the best Matias we've seen, he gassed out far too quickly and it seems like he didn't take his training for the fight seriously, because he didn't see Paro as a threat. Now, by no means does that mean I'm taking anything away from Paro's win, that was still Matias in full on terminator mode from the beginning of the match to the end. Paro won this fair and square, even though he was a bit dirty at times, but it all came down to this, Paro beat Matias, because Paro is an excellent fighter who brought the perfect game plan to fight a guy like Matias. Paro also has attributes than many of his fellow 140 pounders simply don't possess. He's blessed with a granite chin, ridiculous stamina, incredibly fast hands and equally fast feet, just as adept on the front foot as he is the backfoot. His ring IQ, insane volume, situational awareness, defense and overall in ring savviness are next level and to top all of that off, he's a goddamn southpaw, who are usually nightmares to face anyway. His ability to think, see and adjust things that most miss, nullifying every strength Matias possessed was damned impressive, and I have a hard time seeing anyone at 140 hang with him, including Haney. Not saying he's unbeatable, but it's going to take someone truly special to take him out. He beats Haney, Lopez, Taylor and Catterall, IMO. So yeah, Matias is still a beast, and a great fighter. Paro just has his number, because he's also a beast and a great fighter.
