    Bump. Matias is becoming a new fan favorite, always comes to fight and always brings the heat. He‘s like a harder punching version of Brandon Figueroa and Jarrett Hurd. Hope he gets a shot at the big names. A fight with Prograis, Ramirez, or even Teofimo Lopez would be a barnburner.

    Anyone know when Matias is supposed to fight again? Anxiously waiting to see him back in action again. This guy deserves to fight for a title.

    Matías is finally champion. Well done to him. I’m excited to see him finally face the other top fighters of the division. I feel like he’s gonna strike fear on every fighters around him.

    Finally got stomped. But with a style like his with little to no defense it was just a matter of time until someone stopped him in his tracks. Curious to see what happens next for him and if he can still be a force even after a loss like that. He’ll need to start tightening up that defense.

    I personally don't believe Matias is a juicer. I think he's a good guy at heart and that he wouldn't do that especially after what happened with Dadashev (RIP)

    I still consider him a beast and a nightmare style for most fighters. In order to beat him you have to be a big puncher and crack him with your biggest shots repeatedly until you eventually crack the resistance out of his iron chin which has obviously only ever happened once so far or you have to fight a damn near perfect fight and outbox him albeit it will be easier from now on to do both after all the punishment he took last night + all the punishment he'd taken in previous fights

    Dadashev, Ergashev, Ponce, Jukembayev and maybe Hawkins too whom I'm not so familiar with were all unbeaten, ambitious, talented and he stopped all of them or made them quit, three in 6 rounds or less and the other two in 8 and 11.

    I think Paro literally fought the damn near perfect fight and even then he was allowed to get away with a lot of pushing and holding.

    Ananyan is one tough cookie and is no bum either.

    Puello held like an octopus and would've been stopped had he not and should've had multiple points deducted for doing so

    You're always going to burn out quicker if you fight with a style like Matias'

    His style and the way he eats shots can lead to a sudden and quick decline IMO. The fight before Smith he beat Puellov(Thank you Matias for doing that!) but I saw signs of him being on the verge of being shot. Not sure if it was his gait or his reactions, id have to go back and look but he reminded me of fighters in the 90s I'd see all of a sudden look like they were declining kind of out of nowhere likely from hard sparring or too many wars early on. I think I said something to that effect on the puello vs matias RBR but I'd have to go look
