I don't remember it saying this before 6. Is there a HD offering? There are plans to develop a HD offering - date to be confirmed.
Yeah, when I looked the other day I'm sure it said that there currently wasn't any plans, or something along those lines.
Not really... A Co-op Cheese n Onion sandwich is £1.... So as i'm a non smoker thats 10 sandwiches which Equals 10 days food..
I'm currently proper skint, but Ill be subscribing for at least 6 months to see how it goes and show my support. One thing I will say, is that the casual fans not gonna subscribe. Other than Burns - Katsidis, none of my friends have been bothered about anything else.
I will probably subscribe around Feb next year, but there is nothing that exciting at the moment (apart from Cotto) If they announce some big fights before the first i will probably subscribe
Residing in Canada,I would gladly jump on a deal such as this. Here we get HBO and Showtime fights, but we pay to receive these channels and PPV.It cost 60 bucks per event! This to me is a real steal, mind you,I watch these PPV events at a reasonable time, unlike you guys who watch it around 3 or 4 in the morning. A dedicated boxing channel would be great, providing it gives you live boxing events and not just some re runs of old fights. We can get that through ESPN Classic.
I won't be ordering it. This'll do more harm than good for boxing, it is unsustainable and greedy. Sky cut PPV because of negative reactions, now a whole channel? That means you pay for six months and they can put on what they want, they have your money! Cancelations, easy match-ups, cheap set up, that Bunce-mark 2... This is here because ****** needs to pay his olympians more money than they're worth. Why do think he tried the Magnificent 7 on PPV? I love boxing since I was ten years old, I'm 26 now, I know this will not work! I don't enjoy saying either.
It was that bit that put me of getting it, this wont work IMO. I cant believe people say its only a tenner ffs... its not the money its the principle.... also I have a life I dont sit in every weekend watching ****in boxing...and last point its BS about archive ****, you can get most of it on youtube nowadays anyway......rant over :bbb
i think not buying is fair in the case when we are clearly getting a one sided fight like Haye-Harrison if only because good sales will encourage the involved networks, promoters etc that they can get away with it anymore. I only buy if I believe the fight is worth £15 or whatever the price is, i can be swayed if there is a good undercard but i hardily ever buy PPV's. i wouldn't criticize anyone for buying though, what they do with their money is their business. I wouldn't give primetime as an example any stick either, they take an opportunity to make money and run with it. their priority is not to promote the sport but to be financially successful. if fans don't like their product then they don't have to buy it and that is a better statement than to just whinge all the time - plus if they want to see the fight but don't value it at £15 they can easily access it anyway.
