You asked what fights are going on in January...they need to pick up at least some of them or they won't have a great deal for January...so we have half a month in December...then maybe as good as half a month for January. Thats 2 months gone and we'll only have had 1 good card. Price v McDermott will almost certainly be on Sky anyway. The two ESPN fights will be fun mind, Provodnikov and Kim are always fun to watch.
Yeah that's a fair point, neither do I, It depends on the fighters involved and their respective levels, His higher profile fighters has to be in good fights for it to stand a chance of doing well, If 3 months down the line I find it **** and full of bad matchmaking I will cancel but it deserves a chance, as boxing fans we should give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a try, IMO.
If they're Friday Night Fights then they'll be on ESPN here, so they can't pick that up, and the Price card will be on Sky. It's just a **** month. There's nothing they can do about that. If you really can't afford the £10, then leave it.
I love the way Frank is taking the abuse for everything bad they do despite the fact I'm pretty sure it's got **** all to do with him.
If ESPN here actually carry the fights, I remember them doing it occassionally last year and often putting them on delay. They could still chase down the fights from Japan for the rest of this month (the Kameda card and the Uchiyama cards are screaming out to be snapped up).
A lot of (stupid, ignorant) posters think because he's a partner and provides content for the channel, FW is somehow responsible for all the programming decisions at a micro-level. He isn't obviously, but he's obviously going to be a big part of the channel's success, if any.
If I don't get Forbers v Barrett in 3D with the live execution of Steve Lillis on the undercard I'll lose it.
Definately going to subscribe. Would gladly pay £10 ppv for the Cotto bill so no problems about December. They have shown me enough since starting to have faith they will pick up the cards i want. And if there is a dead month its no differnent to having sky through the football close season and paying the sub. Needs to be judged after 6 months but dont see the need to be cynical at this stage.
So what? If I sign up for Sky sports I'm stuck with the ******* for a year paying **** knows how much extra wonga. It does have 3D and HD options though so perhaps it is worth half a grand a year.........
