I think Cotto would have possibly hurt Forbes alot more. I'd give Cotto a really good shot at stopping him as well.
It has nothing to do with over rating. Some fighters effect other fighters different based on their styles. :good
I think Cotto would of had problems with Forbes down the middle attack and quick hooks. ODH has a faster better jab but Cotto is stronger and is faster then ODH. But power wise I would go with ODH when he sits on his shots. Forbes took some heat early and was wobbled but he is a tough customer.
I think what he means is, we all know he is good, but the reiteration of his ability is getting to the point of exaggeration. Give a fighter his deserved recognition. After this its what is known as 'nuthugging'.
I dont think any welter out there would walk through forbes. He has a great chin and a great style. He would make it interesting with any of the top mofos.
Utter bull****. What was said was in reference to styles. I never posted anything about super natural abilities or him being the best. Read the **** up. There was zero nuthugging to it. Nuthugging is thrown around more than a cheap *****.
De La Hoya looked great but Cotto would have put the hurt on Forbes, stylistically. The thing with Cotto is this...you can't even let him hit you with stuff that's 50% blocked, because it will hurt you badly. Everything he throws that hits you, hurts you. He's just unusually heavy-handed. One of the most heavyhanded guys i've seen.
Oscar proved once again tonight that he's clueless in close quarters. If Cotto was motivated and not coasting (the way Oscar was for the last third of this fight) I could see him dropping Forbes with body shots and forcing the cornermen to step in.
