Height plays an important role in boxing. These days the best middles are near 6 feet tall. If your short, you'd better have top end power.
Tyson was listed at 5'11 1/2, but I know people who were inches away from Tyson, and 5'10" was closer to the truth. Yes--Tyson was short for his division. If you look at short great fighters, I think the pretty much have one thing in common. A lot of punching power, and brute strength.

well..... a few of the older names.... Tom Sayers and 'Bendigo'..... both well accomplished 'smaller men'. Tommy Burns had amazing timing and strength.... they are the perfect attributes for power. Has anyone ever considered the thoughts of a 1906-7 Burns vs a 1917 or 1925-'27 Dempsey??
