Was it sudden to any body else that Danny Green decided to retire?? i was chatting to some auzzie the other month after he beat some C - class chump who was on about him challenging the big names of LHW, then all of a sudden he's retired. Seems sudden as fook!!
Yes its strange that big fights are being caned then other fights get made. I think Green will move back to SMW by the end of year for Green VS Mundine 2. Green will get at least 3 mill for the fight and that would be 10 times more than his defence against Gary.
Just like The Terminiator...."he'll be back". Green just won a title, his career is at it's zenith. This "retirement" is probably a move to get out of a contract or something like that.
Green is well off and has a great job ahead as a trainer/ promoter however he can make the big $ in 4 months with a big aussie rematch with Mundine...last time the had the fight they got 30,000 people live and broke all time aussie ppv record for any fight...including Tyson, Mayweather records and the like.
