Still winning, but now he's fighting the elite level fighters atsch he's going more rounds than he usual 1-3 rounds have you noticed ?
Just shows he was fed on mugs, stiffs, and shot bums right up to Stiverne. Did not deserve title shot.
Funny, a year or so ago I was reading how he would have no stamina and would fall out if someone took him to the later rounds.
Going into deep water with someone like Eric Molina is not a crowning achievement. He's been bombed out in rd 1 twice. atsch
Yeah. I was sure he'd get ko'd later on if someone decent took him deep, I can at least admit I was wrong. Also, Wilder's about where Tyson was right before he beat Berbick for his first belt, as far as comp goes. In support of Wilder's detractors, this does show Tyson was much more aggressively matched than Wilder, that after two defense and more total matches, Wilder is only now about where Tyson was right before he got his first belt. That said, Tyson had two decision victories at that stage and was taken very deep into several other fights as well. Tyson is probably the standardbearer for power and quick knock outs, and even he wasn't taken as deep as infrequently as Wilder. And no, I'm not saying Wilder is better or more powerful than Tyson was, just pointing out that the fact he's been taken deep a few times isn't particularly meaningful as an indication of limitation by Wilder.
He should go on a grueling schedule. One fight take on someone ranked in the 30's and a harder fight next time with someone's Grandma. It's a sure fire way for him to improve. That and take some boxing lessons in between fights.
Yeah but Mike wasn't eating the canvas vs people like Nichols, Sconiers and almost getting KO'd by schoolteacher Molina.
I am sure certain people at the WBC are enjoying nice hotels, and horrs courtesy of his bribe money and will keep allowing him to fight bums.
hes not fought elite yet, with the only possible candidate near elite being stiverne. though to be fair, the other hw title holder hasn't yet either.
