How far do you see the current crop of Sunderland boxers going?

    Tony Jeffries
    David Dolan
    Paul Holborn
    Danny Hughes

I've only seen Jeffries out of that lot so I'll comment on what I've seen.

Jeffries- Good jab and body work, however he seemed utterly clueless as to what to do when his opponent last week doesn't just fall over and looked as though he had never fought on the inside in his life. Don't think he has the greatest of defences either, British title level at best I feel.

Another Sunderland fighter who you haven't mentioned is Trevor Crewe, I would really like to see more of him.

I thought the thread said Sauerlands boxers.

Thought we were having a debate on Kessler, Valuev, Abraham et al.

Jeffries - has some very good tools, last performance was very poor though. Still I expect big things from him.

Dolan - He is a decent domestic operator and has made the right choice in moving down to cruiserweight. Came close to stopping Norton (although I thought it was a head clash that put Norton down), but lost a close, but clear decision and I don't expect him to win their proposed rematch, but he will still be near the top of the domestic scene for the next few years.

Holborn - Didn't look great in the small bit of footage shown of him recently (which Watt thought he lost) and he is in a strong division domestically. Still got time on his side and may be able to pick up a masters title, but not much else in my opinion.

Hughes - Doesn't seem to have the dedication to want to reach the top of the domestic ladder. Showed in Prizefighter that he has a decent shot on him, but can easily be outboxed and outworked, but he does have some speed for a guy his size. Could possibly win a masters title like Holborn.

Jeffries doesn't have the ring savvy to go as far as Hatton did, he gets worked up and is highly impatient. Trevor Crewe is awesome though.

Don't judge Jeffries on one performance. I think he's much better then he showed at the weekend.

Right, that's why I opened the thread. Turns out I don't recognize any of these names.

Still unsure as to how far Jeffries can go but I'd say easily will reach the highest of those mentioned.

Dolan can knock about at domestic level and probably win a British or Commonwealth I reckon (but not whilst Norton's still about)

Have only seen the odd fight from the rest of them so wouldn't like to say but I'd be surprised if Hughes and Holborn got much further than area/masters level (nothing to be sniffed at itself though!)
