Why do we even have threads about guys who started off their careers way below 147 vs guys who were born into the weight? Great big man beats great little man.

No probs. Been there once or twice myself :nut.

I think p4p SRR wins no dispute.

But once you start allowing things like modern training techniques etc to come into it then I would have to go with PBF. The game is analysed now to such an extent and things like video technology, diet etc. Not to mention the extra money involved now. More money involved means more people in the PBF camp thinking, analysing etc.

You think Floyd has a better chance than Leonard?

No it doesn't. Floyd's not just gonna hire ten people to analyze things. He lets Roger do that as the main guy and obviously listens to what his father has to say also. More people analyzing doesn't necessarily make it better.

Its all about factors which alone mean little but when you add them all together the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts.

All of these small things help (diet, training, videos etc). And Money May has them all on his side.

SRR by UD. His offense is the best i have ever seen. Speed, power, technique. Everything.

How the **** have 1/3 people voted Mayweather??

That has nothing to do with what I was disagreeing with. Floyd hasn't hired more people to analyze things for him.

Why don't you try learning about boxing, dick-head? SSR was at his best as a WW!!

You obviously do not know **** about boxing history, so your opinion counts for ****-all!!

Please come back when you've actually studied the sport!!

As for SRR-FMJ match-up, this is a terrible one for Floyd, and if anyone wonders why, please take the time to actually watch some footage of SSR as a WW!!

A far more credible match-up would be SRR-SRL!! The two greatest 147 fighters ever and imo two of the greatest fighters p4p.

A lot of people underestimate SRL, but that guy may very well have been the only person capable of beating a prime SRR (Which was obviously when he was fighting at 147)... And I would still have SRL as the underdog!

Easy, the dumb ****ers think boxing began in 1990!!

I actually believe that SRR would have stopped FMJ. Once he got to him, just as old man Mosely did, Robinson (A truly lethal finisher) would have put Floyd's lights out!!

Floyd is a superb fighter, a great fighter. But in this match-up Floyd is fighting the best, and he gets stopped/ko'd!!

Your point as if PBF would not adjust.

First of all this is a serious debate so please let us not insult any of these greats by invoking the name of Oscar De La Hoya as it is insulting to compare him to both Sugar Ray's.

The Sugar's are great. The thing about Sugar Ray Leonardbwho I personally dislike intensely as a man is that he had a computer for a brain in the ring and found away to win. PBF is better than Leonard in terms of pure technical ability fundamentals but this would not matter as you had the same equation with Benitez and Hearns. When I say better technical ability we are talking about minute margins. Sylistically Leonard would be more difficult for PBF. PBF's defense is better than Sugar Ray Robinson. The truth of the matter is that PBF is in this league. Hatred of PBF should not bline people from mthe truth.
