Roy Jones would have KTFO Ray. There's a higher chance of Floyd beating Leonard than Leonard beating Roy.

Ray would not beat ROY at middle no way and Ray was my favorite fighter. The speed reach power Ray would not be able to deal with that. Long long night for Ray if they fought.

Ray would punish FLOYD jr, FLOYD would land right leads, but not as much as one thinks. The reach of Ray ,the jab speed and power would start to wear FLOYD down. This isn't even a close fight if Ray uses. His jab and the body and is aggressive behind the jab and. Hook.

To me, who you beat is what truly makes you great. Number of defenses, longevity, etc that's great too, but that's secondary to me. That's why Mayweather and Roy Jones Jr will never be as great in resume or even h2h to me against Leonard. Never took the risks Leonard took. H2h, Floyd obviously gives Leonard some trouble, but even in a boxing match, Leonard just walks thru Floyd's best counter shots and his combinations forces Floyd to fight. Leonard finishes Floyd where Mosley failed. But I think Floyd, after being beaten up badly and being dropped, still fights on valiantly, cheapshots and hits Leonard on breaks, tries to pull all the tricks outta the book. But Leonard wouldn't have any of it. Floyd has that excellent conditioning, but so does Leonard. Late Tko for Leonard. I honestly don't think Floyd would beat a prime Oscar or Mosley, much less a prime Leonard.

I'm disgusted with some of the comments from the first page.

SRL is probably TBE. It's a title fight between him and RJJ.
Mayweather gets his advantages vs opponents in his point-scoring abilities. SRL is THE master point scorer....case in point Duran-Leonard 2, Benitez-SRL. SRL is definitely a better 'boxer' than Mayweather.

Leonard can be the point-scorer, or he can get into a real fight and he's so good at it, that only the very best pressure fighter can beat him in the 'fight' i.e Duran.

Leonard's ring IQ is higher than Mayweather's.

He certainly brings more options into the ring than Mayweather, so I agree with this. I think the main problem would be that Mayweather doesn't really have the power to discourage SRL and as you said, SRL will turn it into a fight if he feel he has to, and he's got the speed, power, size, chin and ring IQ to win that type of battle. But both Duran and to a lesser extent Mayweather, are naturally smaller fighters and there's no shame in either of them losing to Leonard, who is probably no worse than the 2-3 greatest welterweight ever. The fact that Duran beat him peak for peak is amazing.

Leonard would wipe the floor with Mayweather. It would not be close.

Mayweather doesn't have the power to get Leonard's respect. Leonard's speed is equal to Mayweather's or better, plus he's bigger and throws in combination with more power.

Leonard would toy with Mayweather. Mayweather does not match up well with any of the "Big 4" of the 1980's. Hagler too big/powerful, Hearns too big/powerful, Leonard too good and Duran (at 135) too relentless and powerful. Lightweight Duran was like a nastier version of the Pacquiao that fought Cotto.

Mayweather is an excellent fighter, but he's not at Leonard's level.

What fight was you looking at. Floyd st got destroyered easily from 2nd round on until the fight was stopped. Knocked down, and out of the ropes. Leonard had only 13 fights or so.

I laugh when I hear people say Leonard struggled with Mayweather Sr. NOT. He boxed with him knew he could not hurt him, then with 1 minute of each round he started pounding mayweather.

Go look at the fight again
