We’re not talking about Benitez, chief. He wasn’t Floyd.

Leonard looped his right hand all over the place in a losing effort to Duran.

Mayweather was beating Maidana at an age when Leonard was getting his ass kicked by Camacho.

Leonard never matched Mayweather’s skillset or poise, no matter how many question marks you use. He reminded me a lot of Oscar De La Hoya but with a slightly bigger natural frame.

Hatton vs Leonard would have been like Leonard vs Green except Hatton wasn't as rugged as Green and would have gotten iced inside of 2 rounds.
Judha would have been stopped late and I cringe to think of what Leonard would have done to Carlos.

    Benitez. Hearns. Duran. Hagler.
All of those fighters are in the HOF are they not?
And Leonard beat them all handing two of them their first losses.
And here's a surprise. With the exception of Hagler they were in thier PRIMES when Leonard beat them.
Dr La Hoya actually had a bigger frame then Ray genius.
At jr.lightweight/lightweight Mayweather was at his best.
    Welterweight/jr.middle no.
And lets not forget the first Castillo fight genius in which Mayweather got a questionable decision.

Mayweather beat more hof fighters than Leonard, and he didn’t need a gift or come from behind stoppage. Nor did he take Ls.

Oscar was pudgy at 160. Idk what to tell you if you think he was naturally bigger than Leonard, but that only bolsters Floyd’s case.

He never needed a come from behind stoppage because he never fought anybody at the level of Hearns, Duran or Benitez. There's nothing Mayweather did at 147 or 154 that Leonard couldn't have done better. None of Mayweathers opponents on the night they fought Mayweather could have stayed with Leonard.

Circular logic. Btw Manny at 147 was in the same class as Benitez and Duran.

    Humour me.

Name one boxer that Mayweather beat who was superior to prime Hearns or prime Benítez

Pac doesn't count because his shoulder was injured and he was past his peak.

    In your own time.

Given that an old ODH gave Mayweather a very close fight, this isn't the silver bullet you think it is.

Do you believe Mayweather could fly to the moon on a push bike?

Pac most certainly counts. He had full range of motion, a corticosteroid TUE, and looked fantastic before and after getting schooled by the 38 yo. It’s a better victory than Leonard over Benitez given the age consideration and PAC’s pfp 2 status behind Floyd.

The Hearns victory was great but so were Barkley’s two wins that didn’t require come from behind stoppages.

Hearns got even with Leonard. It must eat at him that Barkley beat him twice.

Who did Floyd beat that would beat Sugar Ray Leonard and who did Sugar Ray Leonard beat who would beat Floyd Mayweather?

There’s little question that Canelo would beat a 36 year old Leonard.

Is it not better to judge athletes at their apex and not their nadir?

It’s only fair to give Leonard the same age as Floyd for that match, respectively.
