Who cares if Floyd beat more HOF’s?

Floyd never beat an ATG at their peak.

Floyd never encountered ANYBODY like the Fab Four.

Nobody cares that Floyd didn’t take a loss.

    This is a H2H fight.

Ray was more proven against ATG fighters, and he’d have been favoured over Floyd based upon how they’d have matched up stylistically.

there you go thinking agian legend it doesnt matter what you or anybody thinks what matters is on vid and this is it

young floyd defensive skills was super fancy in his defense it's amazing to see which nobody ever at the lw ever came close except sweatpea well he was more a ducker in his defense style so it's not a good compare

old floyd mastered his style the floyd shell and made 95 percent of everybody look like rookies

we never have seen ray look that fancy with his own style like floyd did his

or did we ever see ray master his own style like a old floyd did

your thinking is just that a thought its not facts on vid

neither have ray fought as many skilled people what are we comparing here he is one I dont put down like you know I only put down the joe and the era before cause it was trash compared but ray is not close to floyd level of skill as I explained it shouldnt be a debate here unless we aren't watching

Not the faded, injured version who fought Floyd in 2015.

You’re right. I was only going along with what I thought the rest of the forum would approve of but in truth Leonard sucks. His movement was so outdated that a 15 year old amateur today would have schooled him

    Clueless.

Manny was denied an injection, and he had surgery the following week.

No, he didn’t look FANTASTIC before and after.

No, it’s not a better victory than Ray’s victory over Benitez.

Barkley was a huge MW who matched up well stylistically with Hearns, who fought him YEARS later.

Apologies oh great one. Joe’s movement was out of date. Leonard’s movement was up to date and Floyd’s movement was MORE up to date….. Got it !!!

Floyd never fought the calibre of fighters who Ray did.

If Floyd had been around in the 80’s, he’d have taken more vacations than Clark Griswold.

That’s just an ignorant, BS statement.

    Where’s the context?

Floyd ran from Manny, whereas Ray came off of a 3 year lay off to fight Marvin.

Floyd retired when the WW division was hotting up.

Ray retired due to a detached retina.

You can’t even compare the two careers.

Floyd was a safety first businessman who WOULDN’T fight the kind of guys who Ray fought.

Let’s just get a few things straight:

    1. Floyd NEVER fought the calibre of opponents that Ray did.

    2. Floyd had no offensive advantages over Ray.

    3. Ray would have been a heavy favourite based upon how they’d have matched up stylistically.

It doesn’t matter what BoxRec says.

It doesn’t matter what Compubox says.

It doesn’t matter that Floyd had superior longevity.

None of that is relevant here.

Ray had more big fight experience, where he fought ATG’s either in their prime, or close to it.

If Ray had’ve fought Floyd aggressively, then Floyd would have had ZERO answer.

Can you imagine Floyd having to come up to 160 to fight Marvin?

Floyd would never have fought Marvin Hagler.

Look at what he did in real time, in his own career.

Look at all of the BS he pulled.

Look at his quotes and his actions throughout the years.

These guys are fantasists who award hypothetical/fantasy wins based upon Boxrec and Compubox stats instead of logic.

They can’t and won’t apply context, and they weren’t around back in the 80’s.

Their posts are painful to read.

We’ve got 2 absolute nuts on here, where one of them thinks that Floyd would have pot shotted his way to a victory over Marvin. Ha!

    They’re absolutely deluded.

    An embarrassment to the forum.
