You seriously rate Pernell above Floyd offensively? Interesting. He's good at maintaining a high work rate and winning rounds, but as far as actually damaging his opponents Floyd seems to do that a bit more consistently.

Biased much? You have his pic as an avi. SRL used to try to steal rounds with silly flurries. Floyd just liked fighting, and boxing. He stole rounds by outboxing you, outslicking you, taking away your punches, ad******g to your punches, laughing at you right before you did something predictable, then making you pay, as if it was easy. He shut you out 12 to zip. SRL was just not like any of them, By them I mean Floyd and Pac. And Pac's offense was something never seen since Pryor. Just WAAAY more power. That combination of speed and power, was a beast for prime packyman! Newer era fighters always have the potential to be better skillwise. When Broner gets older, he will be just like Floyd, skillwise, except way more power. Just like Floyd was WAAAAY better than SRL, and so is pac.

Check out the McGirt fights, man...Pea was landing far greater combinations than anything i've seen Floyd ever land.

Floyd probably has the more power of the two, but as far as punch variety, combination punching, body punching, workrate and the like, Pea takes it IMO.

Yea such a great offence that he couln't take out a guy he floored three time in one round, and couldn't stop him when that guy was 38 years old jumping up two weight divisions. :nut

I guess you think SRL wouldn't have stopped a 38 year old lightweight Marquez.

    Idiot.

I make no secret of the fact that Ray is my alltime#1,but it doesn't change the truth.I'm obviously not going to convince you to even consider that I might be right here, and I'm not on trying to have an argument.I'm assuming that it's probably your youth that makes you think it.I'd be happy to discuss it if you were willing to at least consider the alternatives, but I'm thinking your mind's made up and with all due respect, you're in a very small minority if you believe that. And you won't be given much credibilty if you continue to insist upon this.
I'm guessing you may be trolling,as your theory is just too far out there.

Styles make fights. Besides that, Pac had those fights with JMM BEFORE he went to ww, and became a Mortal Combat Punching machine. He fought JMM At WW, when Pac was on a decline, had no power, slower, sloppy, not throwing ANY punches. JMM would get KILLED DEAD if he fought the Pac that fought Margarita, or Cotto, or Clottey. He looked like a Tazmanian devil against Clottey, all he could do was cover up.

No my theory isnt too far out there, it is what it is. But I have no time to debate about the obvious. Most people give past legends more credit than they deserve. People HATE saying apresent day fighter, is better than an ATG. No matter how true it is.

Not that with me at all.I saw both era's(well at least a good chunk of it) and I think Floyd is better than a good few ATG's.But it's not about era's for me,it's about cold hard truth. You're only doing the same thing you're complaining about in reverse. It's not universal that every ATG from the 80's is better than any of the greats from the present.
Like I said,I'm a Floyd fan,but I'm afraid he's not quite as good as Ray and that's a generally accepted fact.
Manny isn't even close, and there's absolutely no logical argument you can make that will come close to proving he is.
Were you around when the four kings were fighting?

Of course he is. He beat numerous all-time great fighters and didn't use the same style to get the job done against any of them. You think just anybody could do that ****? :rofl Styles make fights doesn't apply to Ray Leonard. He'll use whatever style is needed to beat you because he's -skilled- enough to pull it off.

There are things Floyd and Pac can do much better than SRL and vice versa. Stupid thread.
