    That's a superb video.
    I've never heard of this lad.Looks like he could be quite good if he gets the breaks and works hard.

    Now that is what an ATG looks like. I like how he pounded Floyd's daddy with about 10 right hands in a row. What a killer instinct he had, something lacking in some of todays supposed ATG's.

    Though super impressive,,,,,,,,

    Ray Leonard had tougher fights in the Amateurs in 1976.

    A true great. When he's at his best, he's mesmerising to watch -- his handspeed and combinations are ridiculous. The flurry he unloaded on Hearns was deadly.

    What I really love is the intelligent way he attacks, though. When I watched the video I was admiring the way he would approach opponents who sat on the ropes trying to block and counter. Rather than making the mistake that most fighters fall into (smothering their own work, using predictable attacks, etc) Leonard was calm and smart enough to sit back, giving himself space, before launching calculated attacks to both body and head. He looked for a hole in the defence and attacked it -- when it closed up, he looked for the next hole and switched up his attack. Poor Mayweather Sr was getting treated like a punching bag at one point.

    I went to alot of Ray Leonard fights and he was the real deal he fought the best he did not cherry pick like these guys today, Ray Leonard with out a doubt would have beat Pac and Floyd Mayweather easy they would have looked like average fighters at best.

    I remember the bout versus Floyd Mayweather.

    September 9, 1978 in Providence, Rhode Island.

    Floyd 'Joy' Mayweather 15-1-0 {8 KO's}

    It was the first 'World Ranked Fighter' that Ray Leonard had fought as a Professional.

    Floyd was the #17 Welterweight.

    At age 25 1/2, Floyd was not the 'busiest fighter' out there. He only had 'one-bout'
    in the previous '9' months.

    Floyd was a 'pretty good fighter', and was good test for Ray at that time.
    He was good boxer and counter-puncher, but Floyd 'Joy' didn't have much of a punch.
