Yes he was damn good, the only fight he lost in his prime was to Duran so that speaks for itself, he was smart, fast, quick had heart, and was a true legend, well spoken and a class act..
Hagler was faded, nowhere near his best, and the fight was quite controversial. No way in hell he beats a prime Hagler. Also, Hagler rates 2nd or 3rd for me at MW. As for Hearns, he was getting badly outboxed prior to the stoppage, and the fight was at 147, not 154. Hearns was robbed with a Draw in the rematch. He also lost to Duran when both were closest to their primes. I think he was one of the very best ever as well, but there is a lot more to it than you said.
