    Long time no talk Roosty!
Having 200 fights doesnt make your chin better.
Does robinson have a better chin than lamotta just by virtue of having more fights?
Remember also, robbie was knocked down several times as a welter, and for a nine count against artie levine.
Leonard was never knocked down at 147,which is where this match is made at...

Hagler had a granite chin but he may have had some problems with light heavyweights. We will never know. I'm not even saying that Leonard had a chin comparable to Hagler's, but you don't need to have a chin as good as Hagler's to last against Cuevas.

Knocking over Cuevas wasn't a problem for Duran.

levine was a hell of a puncher tho and Robbie hit the deck once in a blue moon meaning his chin was a lot better than SRL. 200 fights as compared with 35 is laughable and I'm not having any of it

Leonard might get rocked early, bud shakes it off and gradually takes Pipino's measure, outboxing him most of the way until it starts to turn into target practice. I say Cuevas lasts till the tenth before he drops from accumulation of punishment more than anything else. focring the ref to call the fight.

that's becuz he didnt have the sheer number of fights Robbie had at 147. if he had, statistically his chances of getting floored go up. Tommy weight drained at 145

A terrible match on paper.................. SRL too spry, fast and skilled for the slower and one-dimensional Cuevas............... SRL by 6th round TKO / KO........ Cuevas never lands a solid bomb........... SRL all the way to the bank...........

on paper SRL beats Norris in 8 by easy tko. on paper srl can be made into a destroyer when it reality opponents like Larry Bonds and Kevin Howard are lasting 10 rounds average. On paper, Norris cannot hurt Sugar Ray but in reality, RL can't carry Norris' jockstrap judging how Leonard's "iron chin" got ruined by Norris' uppercut early on. It's fact people! :deal

Esbers,, you make me laugh

Then why did Ray duck Cuevas when the window was there to fight and
    unify the Welterweight title?
