Ray takes on Iran instead of Donny Lalonde ?

In my view,Ray takes a clear decision. Too skilled for 'The Blade'

Yeah I'd fancy Leonard here. Got the skills, but also the chin to take away any chance of a Hearns style win for Barkely

You can edit the original post...

As for the question, I think Ray makes Barkley boil down to 154 and wins a comfortable decision. He may even 'bust up' The Blade enough to get a mercy stoppage win.

Barkely may score a flash knockdown at some point, but Leonard is n't really hurt.

Barkley would bury Leonard into the canvas IMHO. Barkley could fight the whole 3 minutes & Leonard just did not have the speed/reflexes or the stamina too hold of a young and violent challenger such as Iran. No way could Leonard do what the great Duran did & that was stand & trade bombs, and you would have to against Barkley. Running away ain't gonna do the job for Leonard except just delay the inevitable execution.

Barkley was too young, too big, too strong juxtaposed with being a very competent boxer. Could you ever imaging Leonard being able to survive that left hand bomb that Iran dropped onto Duran in the 8th round that spun Duran round like a spinning top???!!! A weight ravaged Lalonde just cuffed Leonard atop the head and dropped him!

Iran Barkley would beat Leonard into within an inch of his life, he'd murder him & that's the reason Leonard never fought a younger man only except if he could weight drain him. But then Barkley is a stratosphere above one armed & one legged Donny. Leonard retires after an 8 round beat down or is saved by the ref. If I was the ref I'd let it carry on for the benefit of the fan's:D
