Hagler was a switch hitting, hard jabbing southpaw with a 75" reach. Very heavy handed and could used his legs for 15 rounds . Canelo couldn't dream of the beating he would endure.

I think that's a pretty lonely island your standing on there pal.

You've got to be the only person I've ever spoke to who thinks Hearn has a better chance beating Canelo than he does beating Floyd.

I don't think you understand how crafty Duran was. His, feints, rolls, slips were epic. He could read his opponents body language like a savant. He was for sure better at lighter weights, he was still a ferocious welterweight.

Did you not see an over the top Duran beating a much bigger Fighter in Iran Barclay? He would do the same to Canelo. As for Sugar Ray i am not his biggest fan but to say he is over rated is just wrong.Again i refer you to Canelo`s fight with Mayweather and seeing Ray adopting the same tactics for an easy victory

I'd favor the 4 kings to beat him- most handily- but I think a fight with the great Roberto Duran would/could be the most competitive bout of the bunch.

I'm assuming all those men mentioned were peak versions of themselves. I don't favor anyone over a 80-81 version of Marvin Hagler outside of MAYBE Ray Robinson. That version of Marvelous was a psychopath who had such a huge chip on his shoulder after the 1st Antefuermo fight. His will to win at his absolute peak is pretty much unrivaled.

I know Duran is an all time great, but his best shape was at lightweight. He was also competitive in other weight classes, but not quite the same.
From what I understand about this thread, it's supposed to be those guys in their prime vs the current version of Canelo.
And from my experience, the skilled bigger man beats the skilled smaller man.

But we are talking about the current Canelo, who bigger and more experienced vs a WW Leonard, not the Canelor that FMJ beat.
And I already said that I consider FMJ superior to SRL.

Leonard in a dramatically one-sided superfight.

And I am not even the guy's biggest fan.

Leonard would beat the **** out of Canelo. This new Townsend cuck is a fool to think he beats Leonard, Hagler, or Hearns when he couldn't beat Lara or an old Golovkin.

Canelo is far stronger than Floyd Sr was and Floyd Jr was far harder to hit than Sr, Leonard didn`t even have to feint Sr here to land his blows, he`s just bullying the far weaker man, silly comparison.

Duran went toe to toe witn the power punching Barkley, Canelo could have done that also, but Ray couldn`t have at all, Ray was fantastic at welter though but Hearns was out-boxing him before he got hurt.

At 147 Leonard makes Canelo look like he had his lunch money stolen , Don't think Canelo would fight Hearns at 154 to 160. Canelo might take on the 37 year old Duran that fought Barkley at 160 since nobody saw that coming. Heck the better matchup is the Barkley that lost to Duran fighting Canelo .

Maybe so, but I would give Mayweather the best chance at beating them, then Pacquiao, and many peoplr around here thinks Pac has a good shot at beating them.
