Curry would've given Ray hell, but that questionable chin would fail him at some point, and you cannot have that with Ray Leonard.Ray KO or TKO 11-12 Donald Curry.
I too fancy Leonard to take Curry out later on BUT you have to bear in mind Curry would be the young up and comer desperate to prove himself, this could bring his fighting spirit up 2 levels and his chin and heart would be up for it and Leonard may be less up for defending against such a foe as it wouldn't mean as much to him
I think it makes for a good fight for a while but Leonard shows character along with skill and strength to win
I think Curry would have a chance, but would have to be very careful when coming out of in-close fighting, where Leonard could catch him and end it with a left hook. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/07...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846
I put this fight up on a aol board more times than my Dong got Hard. Most picked Ray. On certain nites curry was as good as any welterweight I've ever seen. Can't pick.
Don had the tools but lacked a bit of something you can't quite define. Ray had that. Skill set wise they were both phenomenal. But Ray survived his gut checks and won. Don did not. If Ray lands the Dave Boy Green hook on Curry its over. If Curry lands his McCroroy hook Ray might go down, and might not, but he would get up and stop Curry inside 8. Curry might be on his feet at the end but more than likely on his back or his stool, and he would have no complaints.
I gotta assume Leonard handles Curry at 147 to 154 pounds over 15 rds or late stoppage........... MR.BILL
The thing here is that Ray Leonard was the proven product, Curry still had a bit to go on.So after a couple of interesting rounds taken by Curry, Ray would take Donald out by the sixth round, Leonard on another level than Curry.
