    Leonard would win. Just as talented, maybe more and with much more firepower. In a 15 rounder, I think circa 1981 Leonard would have stopped Mayweather.

    I know what you mean... Leonard by KO/TKO or Leonard by UD in a 12 rounder is a tough one here.

    What I meant was,is this the 773rd thread I've encountered on this or the 774th?

    Agree for the most part. SRL did mention That
    Floyd Senior's defense was very difficult to
    penetrate. Srl's combos and versatility and
    experience too much. Srl UD 12. Srl Tko 15.

    I'm going with Leonard by decision. I think it will be a close fight though. Floyd Sr. gave Leonard some defnsive problems when they fought. Floyd Sr. had no real offense in that fight. Floyd Jr. is a better defensive boxer than his father, and also a better offensive fighter too. I think that the fight comes down to the last rounds.
    Some fighters find ways to just win. Mayweather is one of those boxers, but so is Leonard, and I think he's better than just about anyone else at winning. I can't explane it, but I think that some how some way Leonard finds a way to win.

    SRL in his prime at welterweight would knock mayweather out, just a level above.
