I've just watched the Floyd v Hatton/Marquez/Mosley fights again & i just can't for the life of me see that Floyd has a snowballs chance against a natural 147LB of the calibre of SRL. This is a whole different level x 2. Leonard would jump all over floyd from the 1st ring a ding, he has **** all to fear has he, Floyd is'nt that quick on his feet at this weight in comparison to SRL, Floyd is all about timing & i don't think his solotary check hooks are going to get him very far. After watching these 3 fights again i'am now more than certain that this will be a one sided hammering.

Just watching the absolute terror on Floyds face when he missis with a right hand & as is wide open to a counter left hook which is SRL trademark, Floyd can't get that right hand back quick enough up to his chin but even if he could retract it at the speed of a chameleons tongue someone of SRL calibre is going too wait for this & drop the axe.

Srl offensive arsenal is just so dynamic & varied that it'll only be a matter of time with the accumalative damage he'll pour onto Floyd for 3min of every round is gonna get the stoppage. Floyd at 147 is untested & Hatton/Marquez/Mosley/Ortiz combined at this weight are no comparison to the real deal.

I wish someone would give a breakdown as to how on earth Floyds gonna beat SRL! What the **** with? Maybe a gun perhaps?

Everything about the way Floyd fights for me is bread & butter for SRL, there's absolutely NIL threat for SRL, Floyd will be BBQ'd on the ropes & overwhelmed ring centre & he just has'nt the required speed of foot on retreat to offset a SRL huntdown, he has'nt the required offensive punch volume & not the required power at 147 to halt someone like SRL in his tracks.

Just watch that 13th round all out barrage that SRL dropped on Tommy Hearns but bring it forward 6 rounds & that'll be the pattern until it's stopped.

Duran was the only one that took it to Leonard in Montreal & that was a 15 classic with SRL still wailing away at the death & that is not how floyd fights. Sure Floyds gonna throw out some nice counters but what he'll get back by way of trade off will be 3/1 & that will only increase the longer the fight goes & a 3/1 deficit spells DOOM:deal

SRL needed to be set to punch. Mayweather off the back foot would give a load of trouble. I think Floyd is leading slightly before Ray turns it up late and stops him.

SRL. Too fast, too strong, too smart, too relentless. Floyd at best stuns him, but Ray is fast enough to catch him and had a wicked bodyshot and combinations. Wide UD or TKO for Leonard.

Floyd is good, but Leonard is too much for him. If Floyd goes to the ropes trying to roll shots, Leonard will patiently hammer his body with hooks and get to the head when Floyd doesn't expect it. If Floyd tries to use a lot of lateral movement around the ring and box off the back foot, Leonard will walk him down and catch him with fast shots from range, eventually hurting him. If Floyd comes forward with the high guard, Leonard will welcome it and unload power shots that sneak around the guard. Floyd cannot hurt him, and his workrate is too low to steal a decision. If he opens up more and throws combinations it also leaves him more vulnerable to Leonard's power shots.

Yes Floyd wont be able to hurt Sugar, but I believe
it will take a while for Sugar to crack that defense,
which is getting underrated imo. Srl is too versatile
and too hungry for Floyd. I think there would
be some close rounds, but Sugar would steal
many with flurries. If its 15, the last three rounds
Floyd is trying to survive and gets battered against
    the ropes in the 15th.

Have to say Duranimal, that's an excellent post.Technical with a dash of humour. Not something you see too often.
Didn't you see someof the threads last week where we learned that in the 80's,all guys like SRL and Duran had to do was stand and fight?
I was surprised to learn that using your brain is relatively new in boxing, although I did try to tell them that we were allowed to think in the 80's.:eek:ld
I know Thatcher was bad,but she wasn't Pol Pot.:-(

You know i like to converse in clear plain & simple PUB SPEAK but every so often yer got too put these fanboys too the test & expose them too the Sword of Truth:p

It ai'nt like when we were young & our dad's were saying that Rocky would murder Clay/Ali or anyone from their day would trounce the champs of our's when none of us had anything with which too make comparison's between the 2 era's except yer old man's gospel opinion & why risk a smack around the head by disagreeing.

But in this day & age it's all available to see with yer own eye's, sure they'll always be difference in opinions based on style preference & what yer want to see/like & value but in the main there would be a majority who would all come down on one side or other if they knew what they were looking at.

With regard to SRL/Mayweather yer could'nt really come to any other conclusion other than whats been posted & near on all mirror each other with respect to a conclusive & difinitive SRL victory albeit 12 or 15 & we've yet too see any ***** come on here & argue the point with new & exciting video evidence as to how Floyd pulls this off:lol:

For the record i'd loved to have ****ed maggie even though the ***** had me on the "Scratch" for 2+ years:yep

clear win for Leonard, maybe not easy but he wins it. but you have to realize that this is Leonards best weight while Mayweathers was at 130-135
