Leonard fought "one armed" Donnie Lalonde for the SMW / LtHvyweight title and won. Could he have beaten a light 200 lb John Ruiz (like Roy Jones did) and won the Heavyweight title too?
I don´t think so. Leonard never ever could weigh above 180 pounds while beeing able to go 12 rounds against a top10 hw. He´s not big enough. RJJ was a natual smw/lhw while Leonard was a natual ww. Big difference.
I would give Leonard no chance against a heavyweight such as John Ruiz. You mention Leonards fight with Lalonde. Don't forget that Leonard made Lalonde drain his body down to 168 to get his payday and Lalonde actually knocked Leonard down and hurt him in this fight.
