I was thinking the same thing. Hearns would brutally KO Pac. I have no idea how PAC would beat Hearns at WW, he was over 6ft with speed and A LOT of power. Hearns is probably one of the most powerful WW in history....
This fight would look like the Margarito fight, except if Margarito had speed, power, timing, footwork, combinations and was an ATG finisher. Though I doubt Ray had Margarito’s chin. I think Manny would win rounds but Ray would eventually time him, and would have to knock him down or KO him to win. Angelo Dundee always picked against Manny in every fight. But I think by now most people know not to underestimate Manny. But Ray has a real size advantage here. BTW, Ray would stop Floyd just like he stopped his daddy. If you said Ray was the top ATG welter, I would not disagree with you....
Ray's chin was pretty solid at welterweight when he was fighting there regularly. Hearns couldn't put him down at 147lbs, and we all know what a flame thrower he was. The only thing Manny has to trouble Ray is the southpaw style, and that's not enough to keep SRL away from him. Ray by mid-rounds KO.
