Nigel would win by visious tko - around round 7. too agressive, too strong. skill plays no part in this one, only strength & savagery

Prime? Leonard. Too good of a sharpshooter and one of the best finishers in the history of the sport.

Outside of Duranimal and RedRooster, nobody here really thinks Benn could handle a half-decent Leonard. World's apart in terms of ability. Benn can't even take Ray's best shot, never mind everything else.

If McClellan can't get Benn outer there then Leonard's got no chance, this has fuk all to to with skill or ability, it's about youth smashing an old man to bits. Benn smashes Leonard up so bad all that will remain of Leonard will be a black shyte stain on the canvas surrounding the hole he'd be beaten into:yep

Ray Leonard at 160 wasn't the best Leonard. I think Benn's activity would have been too much for Ray at that weight. At 160, ray was on the downside of his career and was only fighting in spurts. Nigel would have been too strong for Ray and would have been able to manhandle Ray and rough him up. I would pick Been by UD.

Benn would KO Ray. Bigger and way stronger.

u have to be kidding. Marcos Geraldo actually HURT Ray, and turned him into Spaghetti legs leonard. I even felt SORRY for him watching the next "Ali" getting embarrassed on prime time television

how does ability translate into a win on paper when the other guy who is that much stronger & powerful, flailing away at u non stop?

If Geraldo hurt him, Nigel would knock him stiff. watch Ruben Carter-Emile Griffith for a preview

Michael Watson was a fantastic fighter, better than both Eubank & Benn

Nigel Benn by KO or TKO, in my opinion.
Michael Watson would beat Leonard too.

Sugar Ray Leonard was the greater fighter but really nothing special at middlweight. He got the decision against an aging Hagler, in a fight many thought he lost. It was a superbly calculated boxing display to nick a decision against a fighter he'd studied -nand needled - for years, and Hagler was a fighter whose ego made him want to out-BOX SRL.

Nigel Benn was a young killer as a middleweight. The post-Watson version who faced DeWitt, Barkley and Eubank in 1990 ... I can't see a middleweight SRL surviving that kind of animal onslaught.

    SRL was a great welterweight.
