Who would win this fight at 147. Leonard Who just defeated Hearns in thier classic showdown. Against Whitaker who had just given a masterful performance against Chavez. 12 & 15 Rounds.

Mike Tyson vs Muhammad Ali is a better fantasy matchup that hasn't been discussed.

Really not as interesting as this one... Ali would use his defense & strong chin wo wait out Tyson & his terrible stamina. & punish Mike in the late rounds. Highly doubtful Mike would knock out Ali early, & that would be pretty much his only chance.

It won't be easy, but Leonard is quick enough to land with regularity on Pernell, whereas Chavez and Nelson weren't. He was also the natural Welterweight, who had good power at the weight, and wouldn't have to worry to much about taking shots from Pea, who, although had a lot of tools, power was never one of them.

Leonard will miss a lot, but I also think he'll land often enough to get the decision with his beautiful combination punching.

    Leonard UD 12 or 15.

Being this is at 147, Leonard by comfortable UD. I wouldn't be surprised at a late round TKO either, as Pernell would be carrying more weight and could tire late, thus making him easier to hit.

Leonard, competitive, but clear UD. Just too much and proven at 147 despite Pea's own brilliance as a fighter.

Not a whole lot of scoring as I see it.

it is my personal belief that Ray would have problems scoring but this would not be quite enough in itself to prevent him from escaping with a close win as Pernell could not hurt him. And neither can Ray hurt Pernell as he fights out of a crouch and keeps his chin tucked in tightly. We're not talking Don Lalonde here.

I see a very frustrating evening for him as dozens of right hands sail over the head of Pernell and Ray eats several jabs trying to score to the body. The judges have to help him out a bit with a split dec.

just telling it like it is. There will be more grabbing on the part of Pernell and more frustrated looks on the part of leonard than actual scoring. Don't worry though, Ray always got the judges on his side.;)
