I am agreeing with you and recognizing the possibility of SRL having what it takes, and I was complimenting the practical non emotional comparison and I except it as a defo possibility!

I was also merely stating that in 25 years at the TOP Ray robinson faced many SRL's, in other words, many, many greats!!!

and as you concluded Sugar Ray Robinson takes it!

with you man, no worries :good.

Both very complete fighters, similar speed, Robinson has the height, reach & power advantage tho & that would tell in a long, hard, gruelling, close fight... Leonard had trouble finding the taller more powerful Hearns & while I don`t think he`d have as much trouble boxing with Robinson, I do think it would stop Leonard from looking his best & he aint walking thru Robinson in the late rounds like he did Hearns, Robinson is a far more effective inside fighter than Hearns & a lot more durable & tough.

    Robinson W15 Leonard :good

    Robinson`s KO% is misleading.

One is he carried a few guys during his peak, Charlie Fusari being one of the notable ones. The other part is that Robinson fought until he was 44 years old. Over 200 fights. He has 19 losses on his record most of them coming during this period. Even in some of those late fights he won guys went the distance with him that wouldnt have made it out of the 3rd round if he was near his prime.

Sugar Ray Robinson could knock a man out with any punch he threw. He had a complete arsenal.

Ray Leonard with his 40 fights gets outclassed in this one … SRR hammers him and stops him in the 14th or gets an earlier KO
