I think Ray hit marginally harder, not far and away harder. For a natural lightweight, Shane has done well in the power department at welter and light middle.
Ray takes this, another level than Shane, by uanimous decision, if it was 15, Ray would stop him in 13 rounds.
Ray would have the advantage on the outside, but Shane has the advantage on the inside. SRL would be the favorite, but Shane would give him all he could handle IMO, given his bodywork. I rate them equal in punching. A tight battle until the very end. Ray by SD.
Off the top of my head Shane is the only one of the 90's WW's and onwards that would actually give Ray a good, competitive fight. He'd still lose but he's the only one with the mentality to take the fight to Ray.
I think it comes down to SRL's feet: very quick with outstanding footwork. I think SRL would be able to move in, flurry, and get the hell out of there before Shane could do much. You can also count on Ray to use the last 30 seconds to steal any close rounds. Over 12 rounds I'd take SRL by a hard fought but clear decision. Over 15 Leonard stops him.
Mosley is my fav but this matchup is all wrong for him. Not as bad as him facing Hearns but this is still bad news. SRL would dictate the pace and could fight at quick or slow paces. Mosley does his best work when the fight heats up and though he is a smart fighter(keyword fighter and not boxer), he isn't outsmarting SRL I can only see possibly Napoles doing that but even that would be a tough fight for Napoles.
Tough fight for Ray. Mosley is a good inside fighter, but I think Ray is too fast and he wins a fight similar to Benitez.
