Lol at Canelo fans who pick a guy who struggles to have a gas tank for 12 rounds without being really low volume against a high volume 15 round fighter. Just a total joke this section.

Exactly, he's beyond overrated. All of a sudden he can "beat" every ATG, but couldn't dominate a 35 year old past his prime.

SRJ was a fine boxer, he definitely have at least a fighting chance against some of the names on that list, such as Eubank Jr.

Good post, I agree. I think he could make it a trilogy with SRR though, nothing in it for me

Take your meds, son, and calm yourself down.

Kalule was not Canelo. Not even in the same ballpark.
(And yes, I did watch the Kalule fight. Live)

The man was prime at 147.
I have him beating every Welter who ever boxed, save for SRR.
North of that weight, his resume wears thin.

    Alright then, genius.

Please, break down for us how the junior middleweight Canelo beats the Leonard from the Kalule fight.

Ya know, the junior middleweight Canelo who got outboxed by Lara, dropped 4-5 rounds to a washed up Cotto, and got outboxed for the first 3 rounds by Khan.

Explain to us via your master analysis how that Canelo beats Ray ****ing Leonard.

Oh BTW, Ayub Kalule was better than say.... Austin Trout, who was highly competitive with Canelo.

SRL at 147 probably beats everybody (except) these welters:
    • Sugar Ray Robinson
    • Felix Trinidad
    • Ricardo Mayorga
SRL at higher weights loses to more fighters, as is the case with any fighter moving up

Canelo nicked it on that knockdown and even then it was a dubious decision. He was losing pretty much every single round against Kovalev when he knocked him out with what I thought was a fishy KO with the cuffing left hook that was clearly blocked somehow causing Kov to turn to jelly.

Prime Ricardo Mayorga at 147 has the style to Frustrate SRL.

The 4 fights vs the Late Undefeated Welterweight champions (both were excellent boxers), shows you how deadly Ricardo Mayorga was vs Excellent boxers. The rude style of Ricardo Mayorga will provoke SRL the same way Roberto Duran got to him, both Andrew Six Heads Lewis and Vernon Forrest were in their invincible peak when Ricardo Mayorga came and ruined everything for them, so Don king can buy him a red corvette

4-0-0-0 vs the 2 top undefeated Welters, undefeated Sugar Shane Mosley looked lost vs Vernon Forrest (who himself will not be an easy fight for SRL for the same reason as Mosley). SRL was excellent but every style has a problematic opponent, Prime Ricardo Mayorga that is, a short prime (those 4 legendary fights)

Duran was awesome v Leonard in their first bout and punched harder than most welters do today, he would have beat the crapout of today`s welters except maybe Bud.
