    Hearns came back over and over, and he was not hurt in round 12 much since Ray was so tired his punches didn't have that much sting. Ray was throwing punches on the break.... I just think Tommy would have recovered well. And Ray put his all out knowing how much time he had left. It was actually a much better fight than anyone thought it would be. Very physical inside fight at times. Much more inside fight than in 1981.. Hearns fought well on the inside in 1989 having a lot of experience fighting the whole decade and being able to fight Ray anyway Ray wanted, In 1981. Hearns did not have to fight on the inside ever.. After all those guy he fought Benitez, Duran,Hagler, Dewitt, Andries. Roldan.Kinchen an thel ist goes on etc etc, he learned. Ray did not want the rubbermatch, which I think Hearns would have won.
