Hate to say it but I agree....a Slappy win is not beyond the realms of possibility for the very reasons you mentioned. But than again, Hagler was fighting 15 rounders so that might work against Slappy if he couldn't maintain his workrate for a full 15. I still think Hagler woud've wore JC down eventually and stopped him though but stylistically, a win for Slappy isn't out of the question....a win on points of course.

Can't speak for Monzon and Spinks my knowledge of them isn't strong enough.

Prime for prime Jones is probably too much for Calzaghe but it would have been Jones toughest fight also and you couldn't totally rule out the possibility of a Calzaghe win either. Much bigger upsets have occured in the history of the sport.

Calzaghe wins the match-up against Ali and Robinson, as the later two would be disqualified. There should only be the fighters and the referee in the ring.

Even if this were allowed to happen, Calzaghe wins in the present day.

I swear PACFAN84 loses sleep over this forum.........very worrying

Life's too short, quit with the incessant polls. If I see the words "peak", "vote" or "IMO" again I'm gonna go section myself just to get some normality!

So some guys on here disagree with you, rightly or wrongly.......so what???

Peak Monzon than Joe would have a small chance but I'd still favor Monzon..Peak RJJ and Spinks make Joe look ordinary...Spinks would knock him out in 9

I dont see it as a huge shock that Calzaghe could UD Hagler, he is faster, bigger, good stamina & a good chin & can box a fair bit too, Hagler is a great fighter, only a fool would say different but Calzaghe is too & neither man would embarass the other IMO.

Ive heard plenty of fans pick Hopkins over Hagler & not get laughed at so why not Calzaghe, Joe is awkward as hell to fight.

    JMO :good
