Sugar Ray Robinson--Is and will always be the Greatest Fighter Ever

That's bull****. Current fighters fight injured all the time, fighters still fight on a regular basis, and it doesn't matter they don't need to be in tip top shape everytime they step into the ring. I'll take Alfredo Contreras just because he was the first fighter I thought of recently. He took a nice little beating for 6 rounds against George Groves, and then less then a month later he gets KO'd by Nicholas Poulard I believe.

 

Bingo. So how exactly is SRR doing this in this era where 1 big fight gives you a big payday? How exactly does he "destroy" all these other WW's when they can easily fight somebody else and duck him? Who says it's a guarantee that he actually does this and "destroys" all these fighters?

No doubt that SRR was the best in his era, and that he fought the best. That can't ever be taken away from him, but times have changed and may'be he isn't the best and may'be he doesn't fight all these great fighters and accomplish all these goals and has all these wars and what not.
