We need to find footage of him from the 40s. And I'm not just talking about a few clips of him against Riccio, Beckett, Angott or Flores shot by an amateur, we need entire fights.
I have read that many SRR fights at WW were filmed, but that they never saw the light of day due to the New York company who filmed them. We need to find footage of him vs Sammy Angott (not the grainy crap we have now), Marty Servo, Fritzie Zivic, Maxie Berger, Izzy Jannazzo, Tommy Bell. And the most important ones: the fight were he killed Jimmy Doyle, and his fight with Kid Gavillan. How can this be done ? Isn't anyone rich enough on this forum or who has connections to collectors ?

Not to complain, but I wish the lighting in the Angott fight was better. What I could tell, Ray gave him a real working over but I’d like to better see some of Sammy’s spoiling tactics. Even one as superb as the original Sugar surely left a fight with Angott saying ‘I hope I never see that son of a blank again.’
I've researched this again, and I've read posts from people claiming that they saw or that footage exists of SRR vs Gavillan 2, SRR vs George Costner, and even SRR vs Tommy Bell. Can anyone confirm this ?
