    i think there was a quote attributed to ray in later years:

    "I do have my doubts i could havelicked him in my prime years."

    I figure Ray beats Charley in a good fight, 9-6, prime-vs-prime.

    I take ray because I never seen burley fight I'm guessing it would be a close fight
    just because a fighter supposedly ducked someone doesn't mean they could not beat them. I think at this stage in Robinson career burley would have been too smart for Robinson however a more experienced clever 1945-1947 welterweight Robinson would beat burley handily

    Although I still think this would be close...I tend to think Burley would take this now....
