Spence weights about 170+ on fight night and walks around at 185. Robinson was like 150 on fight night and that's what he walked around at even as a middleweight If you believe all this why not ask this question now? If what you're saying comes to fruition then you look like a profit
This is the purest example of a Troll thread. I genuinely feel sorry for the sunlight that has to travel millions of miles only to bounce off the waste of evolution that is anyone who believes Spence would have a chance.
You can be the longer guy and still be smaller. Tyson was shorter than Paul Williams but he wasn't smaller. Spence's southpaw-ness, dimensions and physicality are something new to the table which Robinson ducked during his own time. If he'd have fought Bert Lytell then this match up wouldn't even need to be asked coz we'd have our answer but Robinson didn't fancy that work. Many people are wrong. The greatest of all time don't cower away from the best groups of fighters at the time. Win a couple of rounds is probably selling Robi short. He'd put up a real fight! But he's out of his depth here. Imagine a guy the size of Oscar De La Hoya fighting someone who came along 70 years later and had 20lbs of weight on them. It's not realistic that De La Hoya (or in this case, Robinson) wins. Mikey Garcia has excellent fundamentals. His punches are sharp, straight and he always keeps his hands up and feet beneath him. Robinson did have good fundamentals but look how he throws his punches, they're wide and often with poor form (more to the body here) and likes to neglect his right hand.
Okay. I’m going to sit this one out. Others have said that you’re trolling, and I’m not sure. 70 years doesn’t mean a damn thing. The only thing of relevance, is how the 2 fighters would have matched up stylistically.
That's so picky that I'm proud! And the OP is probably trolling. No-one can truly believe that Garcia has better fundamentals, or some of the other utter shite he's come out with. And I've seen some decent posts from him, and just from knowing who Bert Lytell is shows he knows his stuff. If he's not trolling, I'm worried.
I’ve seen him post some good stuff but I don’t really know him. I’m not going any further with him on this topic. Ray wouldn’t have been in survival mode, and any comparison to Mikey is crazy.
Spence stops ray in 6 or less Is what i would of said if i was high on drugs. But logically and realistically Ray Robinson stops spence.
Robinson beats Spence really, really bad. The only southpaw I know that Robinson fight was Joe Curcio. He KOed Curcio at the end of the first round, and hit him so hard that he wasn't awake for the start of the second. Reread that. He was out COLD for over a minute. Not saying Spence goes like a Curcio does, but there's no notion that Robinson had issues with southpaws. Robinson has the foot-work to either box Spence at length, or the power and hand-speed to beat the **** outta him at mid range. The weight is a near non-factor, as he gave up 20lbs to Joey Maxim (twice the fighter Spence is) and he was schooling Maxim before he passed out in the sun. We're talking about a guy who was beating guys who'd beat Spence after a three-year retirement and whilst aged 35+. Robinson is several light-years above Spence and, in truth, any fighter today.
Well Thor has his own weird categories that take height and weight into account. Everyone else thought he was being a dumbass at the time but he prob thinks you're on to something here.
Stupid questions deserve stupid answers. If you ask me who would win out of prime Lennox Lewis and primo David Price in a poll who do you think I'd vote for?
