When it could be this competitive film is essential to me. I can assume Harry Greb would beat say Errol Spence but Ray Robinson…

Robinson was great at middleweight but he was beatable Greb was at his best at middle. I say Greb UD or SD.

    Greb, greater boxer.
Tunney and Conn said he was the best and Mickey Walker said too.

The middleweight Robinson of the early fifties takes a hard fought albeit clear decision. Any later version of Sugar loses to the 'Human Windmill'

Based on the efforts and abilities of Basilio and LaMotta, I would say Greb has a good chance of winning at the very least one out of three fights.

Greb defeated HW`s and could beat SRR but I could see Ray out pointing Harry.

This is a very tough fight to call, but I have to think that the best Middleweight version of the great Sugar Ray Robinson would outpoint even the best Middleweight version of the great Harry Greb.

Ray Robinson and I don't think there would be any doubt or question to the Win(s).

Greb's record is the Greatest in History or damn near if not... However, I think Harry's day/era was still in the days of Prizefighting so to speak, more Crude, Rough and basically Teak Tough and Durable men. Of course there will be the odd exception leaning towards the more Skilled Stylist, but I don't think the truly Athletic Skilled Slick Boxers became "the Norm" until about the mid 1920's and beyond.

I'd say not just Greb, but near all of his Peers and Era's before him would be beaten more often than not by their Divisional Counterparts from the mid 1920's and into more recent decades.

Not to say some Tough Old Prizefighter's wouldn't be in people's faces, grinding & slugging, holding and swarming, they would, but 9 out of 10 Times they'd be Beaten I'd say.

Is Robbo fighting in Greb's time, the rules gloves etc?
Still think SR wins but it's close and dirty!

Based on the footage I’ve seen, I’d say Robinson, if he’s up for it, wins a handy decision, lightning fast, better at range, better balance, which would allow him to dictate the fight, whether it be on the outside, or inside, it’d allow him to beat him to the punch in different scenarios.

Probably Greb and with surprising dominance, LaMotta gave Robinson plenty of trouble throughout their series due to his toughness and size. Greb is basically LaMotta on steroids except much faster and more awkward.

I am going with Sugar Ray Robinson to beat Harry Greb MOST times, prime against prime, but NOT necessarily EVERY time.
