    I would have to lean towards Sugar Ray Leonard, the quicker of the two, and withstood the bombs of Hagler and Hitman Hearns, He defeated both, demonstrated a strong chin. It would go the 12 round distance with Leonard coasting to a unanimous decision. Barkley is very durable and strong, and a full fledged middleweight. But Sugar Ray carries the weight good, we saw that against Marvelous Marvin.

    Barkley has the tools to beat Robinson.

    Tough and very pressing. He was also much bigger and stronger than Basilio or Fulmer.

    Sugar Ray Robinson Would win this fight by a comfortble unaimous decision. It would be a masterful performance, just like when he fought Jake La Motta in 1951, and Carmine Basilio in 1958. Both of those fighters were all time greats who would have beaten Barkley.

    Sugar Ray Robinson (1949-52) would dance on Barkley's head. He his legs then. He had the power to make the wide open Iran Barkley pay dearly.
    Even if the crude Barkley lands once in awhile Sugar Ray could take it. TKO 7th
    Just too damn quick.

    The older Robinson (55-58) grinds out a decision based on his ring saavy and still quick combinations.
