The punishing blows in the 12th and 13th round that Jake Lamotta took in the 6th fight he had against Sugar Ray Robinson is the same type of punishment I can see Carl Froch receiving when he steps into the ring to fight Dirrell. This is not a direct comparison between any of the 4 fighters but I just see Froch taking more than he signed up for. I will eat crow if Froch pulls out the KO victory and if he wins on points it has to be a clinic because he will be in his hometown and we all know who gets the close rounds in a fight like this. Official prediction, Dirrell to stop Froch in the 9th... If you havent seen the above fight I mentioned then it might be a bit pointless if you end up attacking me for my comparison because unless you have seen those 2 rounds then your pretty much out of the loop... Is Dirrell completely being overlooked because Carl happened to Stop Taylor in such dramatic fashion? People keep bringing up Froch's power. If there is no target to aim at then power is rendered useless. Dirrell wont be standing infront of Froch and if Froch does become the aggressor he will get countered stupidly from round 1 through 12. For those who are man enough lets make an avatar bet if you feel I am totally off on my prediction. Either way Im picking Dirrell to win.
LOL, I really hope so myself but I think Jeff Lacy was a completely different type of a fighter, he was not a technician or a guy who could win boxing fights if you had to take his power away and his lack of boxing skills was shown to be lacking when he met a superior boxer. The difference between Froch and Calzaghe is that Froch is no Calzaghe and Dirrell is definitely no Lacy, Froch could be the next Lacy and Dirrell the next Calzaghe if you want to look at it subjectively.
