In 1952 there were talks of Robinson going up to heavyweight to fight Jersey Joe Walcott after he would've beaten Joey Maxim, but what if this did happen? Could Robinson have won?

I doubt it. JJW was a good 20lbs heavier than the Maxim SRR fought.

Jersey Joe! He was too crafty and knew every trick in the book. So he would adjust to that unusual setup and he will use his advantages.

I mean he must be an underdog but of all the heavyweight champs in history to match SRR against, a 1952 JJW is one of his better shots.

    Too easy.
SRR was the best candidate for GOAT that we have.
However he was a natural WW-& when he gained weight a smallish MW.

JJW was great at his best, but certainly not nearly as dominant as SRR.
But he was fit at 195.

SRR asked someone aout fighting Marciano "are you crazy, do you want to get me killed"?
You can match SRR against the vast majority of men of all sizes & he is favored.
But not a top HW, barring mitigating circumstances.

A step too far for Sugar Ray. JJW too simply too big.

I can't see it! SSR didn't have PEDs and JJW was a million times better than Ruiz!

Walcott hurts him, knocks him out early, not competitive whatsoever, Ezzard Charles was the Heavyweight version of Robinson, his style was identical, well rounded, could box well and move, but could also catch and shoot in mid range and fight up close, could throw combinations well.
Walcott lost to Charles because he tried boxing off of the backfoot, but all that allowed Charles to do was cautiously follow him, not take risks and just beat him to the punch at range being the quicker man, once Walcott adjusted after 2 fights and was more aggressive, Walcott handled him, was able to bully him in the clinch and actually get into punching range, since staying on the outside against the quicker man isn’t a good idea, so he had to take risks and force the errors out of Charles, if Walcott can beat Charles using the mentioned tactics, he’d ice Robinson.

Walcott by highlight reel KO. Can't see a welterweight turned middleweight beating him. Robinson would be too small.
