I have no need to convince anyone of the outcome of the fight between the greatest ever and a pretty good fighter at a feasible weight class.

its you who needs to work at convincing, anyone. You are welcome to try, by all means, but there are better more valid threads to chase where your gains would be more meaningful.

Depends upon which stage of Sugar's career. If before the Joey Maxim fight,Ray clearly outboxes Calzaghe. But Joe wins against any version of Robinson after 1955. Calzaghe was better than Gene Fullmer or Carmen Basillio, imo

I will willingly pay your travel expenses plus give you £1, 000 if you will go to Wales and tell Joe Calzaghe he is a " coward " to his face. You piece of ****.

Thats because the freak is the kind of fool that would spend years trying to convince people that forcing Beagles to inhale cigarette smoke 12 hours a day is somehow beneficial to human cigarette smokers. Too fvcking stupid to realise the humans had a choice, whereas the dogs didn't. Stupidity being one of the main traits of the persistent in the face of open debate.

Personally I believe that Roberto Duran was a very close 2nd to SRR in terms of all time p4p ranking, and even though he won titles from Light, to Middle I am not stupid enough to believe he would beat any decent S / Middle champion, say a Kessler, or Calzaghe.

there is no one I need to convince that sugar wouldn't beat cocaine.

it seems you need to though, so go ahead, begin, don't moan about your job by projecting onto me.

if you have a problem with people telling their opinion sugar beats cocaine joe, then perhaps you shouldn't enter free debate forums.

Forget public appearances. Name a day that suits you and we'll meet at his house, in private, and you can tell him then. No witnesses when he ***** slaps you. Bring your rail tickets, or petrol receipts. I'll pay the grand to which ever Doctor you nominate towards the cost of repairing your injuries.

I'm not meeting you, I have no wish to be exposed to a nutjob like you, I am sure you will understand.

but i'll take your money now and do the deed if you are true to your word at least. if not, log off now.

the only concession I have to make in my arguments is that there werent multiple fighters from originally lower divisions who floored joe, ther was just the one - as you quite rightly corrected yourself - roy jones. but you corrected yourself so I didn't mention it earlier, I was happy that you'd put right your mistake.

robinson in his prime at 147 but was still a force at middle. jumping up 8lbs wouldn't be be much of a problem to a fighter off Robinsons quality versus a fighter of calzaghes quality. robinson would take that in his stride.
We all thought pacquiao would stuggle with barerra and then de la hoya because they were bigger. but quality is worth more per ounce than a half stone of bodyweight.
roy jones jumped to heavy and beat a weak champion with relative ease. id say the gap in talent and ability between robinson and calzaghe is largely equivalent to jones and ruiz.
cant see calzaghe having a chance, robinson is leagues above him and 8lbs wont change much.

What weight did Joe step into the ring at for his best performances ? did he really fight at 180 or so ? Either way Joes speed and size would be very tough but Ray was a much bigger puncher and after seeing Joe dropped by Bernard and Roy his chin would be a question .. Maxim lacked Joe's skill but he had a granite chin,

So I was right to call you a fvcking liar. I'm glad you acknowledge that.

As for meeting Calzaghe and telling him to his face he is a coward. There is no problem in my not being there. I have a friend who lives less than 2 miles away from Joe, and he would relish the thought of collecting any numpty from anywhere within a 30 mile radius of their respective houses, and delivering him to the man, just to watch the show.:lol:

No public, no witnesses, just you, your quivering rectum, and my pal to pay you after the deed.

    pay up, then.

your move. until you pay, you are all talk.

And as far as the thread topic goes, theres yet another set of people who disagree with you that ray beats coke joe right above you. Perhaps you want to pay them to knock on joes door too, you odd person.

I think Robinson was a much higher level of fighter over anyone boxing from 147-168 in the last 40 years, however even SRR lost a few and JC may be competitive....Ray did not prove himself above 160 (lost to Maxim) and you can not underestimate how JC would rise to the occasion because he always did when he had to.
