I pick the Sugar Man to win both fights. Joe Louis and Ray Robbinson were the best of friends for many years hanging out, gambling, playing Golf and picking up women. they even had a street fight against each other sort of, where one of thems leg got cut open by glass or something? Robbinson is arguably the best fighter that ever lived so far pound for pound and Joe Louis is the best heavyweight of all time on paper still. what if they had fought in the ring? Unfortunately I think Joe was too big and strong for Ray. So I pick Joe
Well Ray fought at 175 and Moore was 175 and Patterson was very small for a heavyweight size isnt gonna be a huge issue here but Moore had a hell of a punch and a nice shoulder roll defense and could block punches well and bob and weave, Moore was a hard target and could bang good fight not sure who to pick Patterson could punch he was quick had a nasty left hook who knows
I dont know much about that era but I think size would win here. Robinson almost won the 175 title but those two were much better fighters than Maxim and they also were successful at heavyweight. Their combination of size and skill would be too much to overcome.
Holy **** Jake Lamotta is still alive. I thought for some reason he died recently like within the last 5 years. Hes 90 now.
Robinson was dominating Maxim and past his prime when he got dehydrated and couldn't go on. So really it was the weather not Maxim that beat him. I'd give the edge to SRR over Moore, but I'd give the edge to Patterson over SRR. Patterson was something else. I think he had what it took to beat Liston, but he was mentally beaten and intimidated by him. But I wouldn't bet against Robinson either.
Floyd,Arch too big for Ray. Plus at the time 57 or ?? Ray past prime Mooe had alittle more left (Durelle) ,Floyd to fast for Sugar man.
